Star HD 109749

    HD 109749 b is an extrasolar planet that orbits extremely close to the star HD 109749, taking only 5.24 days to orbit at the distance of 0.063 AU. [1] This planet was discovered on August 22, 2005 - the same day as the discovery of Gliese 581 b.

    HD 88133 is an 8th magnitude star in the constellation of Leo. It is classified as a yellow main sequence star. It is slightly more massive than the Sun, cooler and more luminous. Located at a distance of 241 light years from Earth it is not in our immediate neighbourhood and thus not visible to the unaided eye. With a small telescope it should be easily visible.

    HD 125612 is a binary star system with three exoplanetary companions in the equatorial constellation of Virgo. It is too dim to be visible to the naked eye, having an apparent visual magnitude of 8.31. The system is located at a distance of 188 light years from the Sun based on parallax measurements, but it is drifting closer with a radial velocity of −18 km/s.

    HD 11506 is a star in the equatorial constellation of Cetus. It has a yellow hue and can be viewed with a small telescope but is too faint to be visible to the naked eye, having an apparent visual magnitude of 7.51. The distance to this object is 167 light years based on parallax, but it is drifting closer to the Sun with a radial velocity of −7.5 km/s. It has an absolute magnitude of 3.94.

    HD 5319 is an 8th magnitude star approximately 319 light years away in the constellation Cetus. It is a subgiant star of spectral type K3, having run out of hydrogen in its core. When it was main-sequence, the spectral type was early F or late A.

    HD 109749 is a binary star about 206 light years away in the constellation of Centaurus.

    HD 149143, formally named Rosalíadecastro, is a star located in the Ophiuchus constellation that has spectral type of G0 located at a distance of 240 light-years from us. Its apparent magnitude is 7.9 and the absolute magnitude is 3.9.

    HD 88133 b is an extrasolar planet orbiting the star HD 88133. It is probably less massive than Jupiter and even Saturn. It orbits the star in a very tight orbit, completing one revolution around the star in every three and half days or so. Despite the relatively large radius of the star, no transits have been detected.

    HD 5319 b is a gas giant exoplanet discovered in 2007 in the constellation of Cetus. This planet has a minimum mass nearly two times that of Jupiter. The planet has an almost circular orbit, with an eccentricity of only 0.02 and a period of 641 days. An additional planet in the system was discovered in 2015 and may be in a 4:3 mean motion resonance with planet b.

    HIP 14810 b is a massive hot Jupiter approximately 165 light-years away in the constellation of Aries. It has mass 3.88 times that of Jupiter and orbits at 0.0692 AU. It was discovered by the N2K Consortium in 2006 and the discovery paper was published in 2007. Prior to this a preliminary orbit had been published in the Catalog of Nearby Exoplanets.

    HIP 14810 c is an extrasolar planet approximately 165 light-years away in the constellation of Aries. This planet has mass at least 1.28 times that of Jupiter and orbits at 0.545 AU in an eccentric orbit. The planet was discovered by the N2K Consortium in 2006 and announced in a paper published in 2007. With the discovery of a third planet in the system which was announced in 2009, the parameters of this planet were revised.

    HD 224693 b, also named Xólotl, is an extrasolar planet orbiting the star HD 224693 every 27 days with a minimum mass 70% of Jupiter.

    HD 33283 b is an exoplanet orbiting around HD 33283. The mass of the planet is about 1/3 that of Jupiter or about the same as Saturn. However, the planet orbits very close to the star, taking only 18 days to complete its orbit with average speed of 86.5 km/s (311400 km/h). Despite this, its orbit is eccentric, bringing it as close as 0.075 AU to the star and as far away as 0.215 AU.

    HD 86081 b or Santamasa, meaning 'clouded' in Sanskrit, is a gas giant exoplanet that orbits close to its host star HD 86081 or Bibha, completing its orbit in only 2.1375 days. With such a short orbit it belongs to the class of exoplanets known as hot Jupiters. Like most Hot Jupiters, the orbit is nearly circular, with an eccentricity of 0.008. On 17 December 2019, the International Astronomical Union, Paris has selected the name 'Santamasa' suggested by 13 year old Vidyasagar Daud, class 8th student of Sinhgad Spring Dale Public School, Pune, India for the exoplanet HD 86081 b, This large scale election procedure has come up across India. The name echoes the Indian sentiments through the name 'Sant' (संत), 'Tamas' (तमस्) refers to "darkness", similarly the entire name 'Santamasa' matched with the characteristics of the exoplanet being clouded.

    HD 125612 b is an extrasolar planet which orbits the G-type main sequence star HD 125612, located approximately 188 light years away in the constellation Virgo. This planet was detected using the doppler spectroscopy method and the discovery was first announced in a paper submitted to the arXiv preprint repository on April 10, 2007.

    HD 231701 b is an extrasolar planet approximately 356 light years away in the constellation of Sagitta. This planet orbits at 0.55 AU from the star HD 231701 with eccentricity 0.19. Based on its high mass of 1.08 MJ, the planet is probably a gas giant, meaning the planet has no solid surface and have composition similar to Solar System's outer planets.

    HD 149143 b, formally named Riosar, is an extrasolar planet that has a minimum mass of 1.33 Jupiter masses. As is typical for a lot of hot Jupiters, its orbital eccentricity is low.

    HD 37605 b is an extrasolar planet that is 2.84 times more massive than Jupiter. It orbits close to the star, taking 54 days to revolve around the parent star HD 37605. Its orbit is highly eccentric, around 74%. Distance from HD 37605 ranges from 0.069 to 0.453 astronomical units.

    HD 11506 c is an extrasolar planet located approximately 167 light years away in the constellation of Cetus, orbiting the 8th magnitude G-type main sequence star HD 11506. It is the second planet in this system, and its discovery was first claimed in 2009 by using Bayesian analysis on data previously collected by the N2K Consortium. However, in 2015 additional radial velocity measurements showed that the planetary parameters were significantly different from those determined by Bayesian analysis.

    HD 179079 b is an extrasolar planet which orbits the G-type subgiant star HD 179079, located approximately 228 light years away in the constellation Aquila. This planet has mass only 1/12 that of Jupiter or 1.5 times Neptune. The planet orbits very close to the star, at a distance of 0.11 AU. This planet takes two weeks to revolve around the star. This planet was discovered using the Keck telescopes on August 12, 2009.

    The N2K Consortium is a collaborative multinational effort by American, Chilean and Japanese astronomers to find additional extrasolar planets around stars that are not already being surveyed. The N2K is shorthand for the set of roughly 2,000 of the nearest and most luminous main sequence stars that were selected to be newly surveyed. Target stars have a B - V color index value between 0.4 and 1.2, a visual magnitude brighter than 10.5, and a distance of less than 110 pc from the Sun. They were selected based upon their high metallicity, which is the abundance of elements other than hydrogen and helium.
