Kumbhashi or Anegudde or Kumbasi is a village in the Kundapura taluk of Udupi district, India. [1] It lies en route from Udupi towards Kundapura on the National Highway 66 (Formerly NH-17).The Vinayaka Temple is located on hillock called Anegudde, below hillock is known as Kumbasi or Kumbashi.

One of the best known temples to Ganesha in Udupi district is that of Shri Maha Ganapathi at Kumbhashi. Kumbhashi is one of the seven "Mukti Sthalas" (Parashurama Kshetra) in coastal Karnataka. [2] [3] Kumbashi Ganapati temple is mentioned in Tirtha Prabandha written by Madhwa tradition saint Shri Vadiraja Tirtha.

Yakshagana is a traditional theatre, developed in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shimoga and western parts of Chikmagalur districts, in the state of Karnataka and in Kasaragod district in Kerala that combines dance, music, dialogue, costume, make-up, and stage techniques with a unique style and form. It is believed to have evolved from pre-classical music and theatre during the period of the Bhakti movement. It is sometimes simply called "Aata" or āṭa. This theatre style is mainly found in coastal regions of Karnataka in various forms. Towards the south from Dakshina Kannada to Kasaragod of Tulu Nadu region, the form of Yakshagana is called Thenku thittu and towards the north from Udupi up to Uttara Kannada it is called Badaga thittu. Both of these forms are equally played all over the region. Yakshagana is traditionally presented from dusk to dawn. Its stories are drawn from Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavata and other epics from both Hindu and Jain and other ancient Indic traditions.

Shankaranarayana is a village in Kundapura taluk of Udupi district in the state of Karnataka in India.It is situated in midst of coconut and arecanut plantations along with forests adjoining western ghats. Earlier this village was called as Golikatte.

Puthige Matha or Puttige Mutt in some records and literature is a Madhwa Vaishnava monastery. It is one of the Ashta Mathas of Udupi founded by Dvaita philosopher Madhvacharya of Udupi. The first pontiff of Puttige matha was Sri Upendra Tirtha, who was a direct disciple of Sri Madhvacharya, the founder of the Dvaita school of philosophy. The main idols worshipped in the Puttige matha are that of Panduranga (Vittala), which was given to Sri Upendra Tirtha by Sri Madhvacharya. Till date, there have been 29 pontiffs who have headed the matha.

Guddattu Sri Vinayaka Temple is located at Kundapura, Udupi District in the state of Karnataka, India. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to god Ganapathy, also called Jaladhivasa GanapathyTemple, It is the only Jaladhivasa Ganapathi temple in India. Lord Ganesha’s three-foot idol is believed to have emerged from the rock. Aayira Koda Seva, Tailabhyanjana, Panchamrutha and Rudrabhisheka are performed in the temple everyday.
