As of the census [3] of 2000, there were 335 people, 121 households, and 86 families residing in the city. The population density was 175.7 inhabitants per square mile (67.8/km2). There were 134 housing units at an average density of 70.3 per square mile (27.1/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 93.13% White, 4.48% African American, 1.79% from other races, and 0.60% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.09% of the population.
There were 121 households, out of which 28.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.8% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.9% were non-families. 24.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.20.
