Linkle Liver Story [lower-alpha 1] is a 1996 Japanese video game developed by Nextech and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn video game system. The game is an action-RPG where the player takes control of a fox girl named Kitsch.

The game's graphics are 2D and make extensive use of the CD-ROM format to have higher quality graphics, sound and music, as well as greater length than would be possible in cartridge format. [2]
Linkle Liver Story is set in the fairy tale world of Mamuna, which is inhabited by demi-humans. Mamuna is ruled by a figure named Muma, a user of dark magic who has ruled the planet as an authoritarian. However, his power is beginning to wane, and he may vanish if he can't find a new source of power. [2]
Trying to prevent this, his evil forces have conquered the land of Four Seasons. [3] Kitsch, a fox girl, [1] joins forces with small woodland animals to fight back.
Kitsch is accompanied in her adventure by a squirrel, Balel, and a rabbit, Lalala. Her third partner, Puchimuku, is a seed that grows throughout the game. [2]
The game was developed by Nextech, who had previously made the games Crusader of Centy and Ranger X for the Sega Genesis. [4] According to Sega developer Masato Nishimura, the game was originally called Ragnacenty 2 and was therefore supposed to be the sequel to Ragnacenty / Crusader of Centy / Soleil. [5]
Linkle Liver Story was released on March 15, 1996 for the Sega Saturn video game console, and was published by Sega. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] The game was released only in Japan. In 2019 however, the game was translated into English through a fan translation. In addition to the game, the translation team also translated the game's manual. [11]

According to Famitsu , Linkle Liver Story sold over 4,950 copies in its first week on the market. [13] Famitsu gave the game a score of 26 out of 40. [7]
Three reviewers for GameFan gave it scores of 65, 85, and 70, of an average of 73. [4]
Three reviewers for the Japanese Sega Saturn Magazine gave it a score of 7, 7, and 6. [12]
Several gaming publications found the game's title to be strange. [3] Several publications, including Next Gen, Official Sega Saturn Magazine , Mega Console, previewed the game calling it "Wrinkle River Story". GameFan reviewed the game calling it "Wrinkle River Story", however they pointed out that the game's title screen says Linkle Liver Story. [4]
Phantasy Star is a role-playing video game (RPG) developed by Sega and released for the Master System in 1987. One of the earliest Japanese RPGs for consoles, Phantasy Star tells the story of Alis on her journey to defeat the evil ruler of her star system, King Lassic, after her brother dies at his hands. She traverses between planets, gathering a party of fighters and collecting the items she needs to avenge her brother's death and return peace to the star system. The gameplay features traditional Japanese RPG elements including random encounters and experience points. All the characters have predefined personalities and abilities, a unique element compared to the customizable characters of other RPGs of the era.
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is a 1995 tactical role-playing game developed and published by Quest Corporation for the Super Famicom. It was later ported to the Sega Saturn (1996) and the PlayStation (1997), the latter released in North America in 1998 by Atlus USA. The second entry in the Ogre Battle series, the story takes place in the war-torn kingdom of Valeria, where protagonist Denim Powell works in a local resistance force against occupying powers, ending up caught in the ethnic conflicts driving the war. Battles are turn-based, taking place on grid-based maps from an overhead perspective with a focus on positioning and using character class abilities.
Policenauts is a graphic adventure game developed and published by Konami. It was written and directed by Hideo Kojima, and originally released for the PC-9821 in 1994. A hard science fiction story, Policenauts is set in the mid 21st century and follows Jonathan Ingram, an astronaut recently recovered floating in space in cryosleep after an accident at a space colony sent him drifting into space for 24 years. Now a detective in Los Angeles, Ingram travels back to the colony to investigate the murder of his ex-wife and her husband's disappearance. As he begins his investigation, he starts to uncover an illegal organ trafficking ring.

Twinkle Star Sprites is a competitive vertically scrolling shooter arcade video game created by ADK and published by SNK in 1996. It was ADK's last production for the Neo Geo. Dragon Ball Z: Idainaru Dragon Ball Densetsu is a 1996 fighting video game co-developed by BEC and Tose and published by Bandai for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. Based upon Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball franchise, following the Saiyan arc to the conclusion of the Majin Buu saga, it is the first three-dimensional fighting game in the series prior to Budokai Tenkaichi. Crusader of Centy, known as Soleil in PAL regions, is an action-adventure developed by Nextech for the Sega Genesis. The story centers on the player character Corona, a boy who has just turned 14 years of age and must inherit his late father's sword to fight the monsters that threaten the human race's existence. Gameplay uses an overhead perspective and focuses on exploring, battling enemies with a sword, and solving puzzles. As the story progresses, numerous animals join the hero and aid him with special abilities, often granting the player passage to previously inaccessible areas.
Alien Soldier is a side-scrolling run and gun video game developed by Treasure and published by Sega for the Mega Drive. Retail copies were released in Japan and PAL territories while in North America it was only available exclusively via the Sega Channel cable service. The story follows a powerful being named Epsilon-Eagle, who after being nearly killed becomes determined to avenge his near death and save his planet. The character has a variety of weapons and moves that the player must master to complete the game. Many gameplay ideas are borrowed from Treasure's earlier Mega Drive release, Gunstar Heroes (1993). However, Alien Soldier puts an emphasis on challenging boss fights with short and easy levels serving as downtime in-between.
Panzer Dragoon Saga, known in Japan as Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG, is a 1998 role-playing video game (RPG) developed by Team Andromeda and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn. The third entry in the Panzer Dragoon series, it replaced the rail shooter gameplay of the previous games with RPG elements such as random encounters, semi-turn-based battles and free-roaming exploration. The player controls Edge, a young mercenary who rides a dragon and encounters a mysterious girl from a vanished civilization.
Panzer Dragoon is a series of video games developed and published by Sega. The first three games — Panzer Dragoon (1995), Panzer Dragoon II Zwei (1996), and Panzer Dragoon Saga (1998) — were produced by Team Andromeda for the Sega Saturn. The fourth, Panzer Dragoon Orta (2002), was developed by Smilebit for the Xbox. Spin-offs include Panzer Dragoon Mini (1996) for the handheld Game Gear in Japan. Lucienne's Quest is a role-playing video game developed by Microcabin for the 3DO, and is the sole traditional Japanese role-playing game released for the system. The story follows Lucienne, a teenage girl who sets off on an adventure to find a cure for a man's lycanthropy. Between adventuring from town to town and exploring the world, the player must battle with enemies using a turn-based battle system on an isometric grid.
Gotha: Ismailia Seneki is a 1995 turn-based strategy video game developed by Micronet and published by Sega exclusively in Japan for the Sega Saturn. The game was followed by the sequels Heir of Zendor: The Legend and The Land in 1996 and Soukuu no Tsubasa: Gotha World in 1997.

Bulk Slash is a third-person action mecha simulation video game developed by CAProduction and published by Hudson Soft for the Sega Saturn in Japan on July 11, 1997. Taking place on a futuristic science fiction setting, where military chief Alois Gardona and discriminated inhabitants of the fictional planet Blau plots a coup d'état against their oppressors, players assume the role of SDF fighter pilot Cress Dawley in order to win the war against Gardona and his army. The game has been met with mostly positive reception from video game magazines and online publications alike since its release; critics praised various aspects of the title such as presentation, soundtrack, gameplay, replay value and graphics.
