On There are 552 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu as of July 2014. Out of 552 engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University, 14 of them are Government/aided colleges, 33 of them are Autonomous colleges and the rest are self-financing colleges and four are University departments within Anna University. Erode District is one of the 38 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It was the largest district by area in the state before the formation of Tirupur District in 2009. Perundurai is a Special Grade Town Panchayat in Erode district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Perundurai is the only special grade town panchayat among 42 in the district. Perundurai has developed as the industrial center with SIPCOT Industrial Estate and SEZ Complex. It is the Asia's Second largest SIPCOT.

Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore, is a private engineering college started in 1984 under the auspices of the Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation, a charitable educational trust of Sakthi Group. Situated on a sprawling 156-acre campus in the IT corridor of Coimbatore, KCT is an autonomous institution affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). KCT was granted five-year accreditation status in its first cycle of accreditation. Later, in the second cycle, with a CGPA of 3.21 on a 4.0 scale, an "A" grade was awarded, which was valid until December 2, 2021. In July 2022, following the NAAC Peer Team visit for the third cycle of accreditation, KCT was awarded an A++ grade. It is the highest grade awarded to institutions by NAAC, with KCT securing a CGPA of 3.62 on a 4– point scale. And all eligible UG programs have also been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Karumathampatti is a Municipality in the Coimbatore district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the prominent developing suburb in Coimbatore metropolitan area, about 25 km away from the city centre. Nachimuthu Mahalingam was an Indian educationist, industrialist, philanthropist and prominent person in Tamil Nadu. He was the Chairman of the Sakthi Group and Chairman of Ethiraj College for Women between 1972 and 1980.

Anna University Regional Campus, Coimbatore is a regional campus of Anna University. It offers full time UG and PG courses in university campus in Coimbatore along with more than 40 degree programmes through its Distance Education Arm Directorate of Online and Distance Education. It was established in 2007.

Keezhakkanavai or Keelakkanavai is a small village in Perambalur district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated between Perambalur and Chettikulam, around 10 km from Perambalur.

Economy of Coimbatore is heavily influenced by information technology, engineering and textiles. Coimbatore is called the Manchester of South India due to its extensive textile industry, and IT industry, small and medium scale enterprises. The GDP of Coimbatore is around $20 billion (2021). Athulya Ravi was born and raised in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu as Divya. She is an Indian actress who has predominantly works in Tamil films. She made her debut with the film Kadhal Kan Kattudhe in 2017 and went on to appear in films including Yemaali (2018) and Naadodigal 2 (2019).
