Nigeria first participated in the Olympic Games in 1952, and has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games since then, except for the boycotted 1976 Summer Olympics. The nation participated in the Winter Olympic Games in 2018, having qualified female athletes in bobsleigh and skeleton.
Doreen Amata is a female track and field athlete from Nigeria who specialises in the high jump event.
Sinivie Boltic is a Nigerian wrestler who competed in the freestyle 96 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was the flag bearer of Nigeria during the opening ceremony.
Nigeria competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Australia from 4 to 15 April 2018.
