This is a list of flag bearers who have represented the Philippines at the Olympics. [1]

Flag bearers carry the national flag of their country at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games.

David Nepomuceno served as the first flag bearer for the Philippines in the 1924 Olympics in Paris. [2]

  1. Originally assigned to Christopher Camat but was replaced by fellow boxer Brin as Camat was scheduled to compete the day after the opening ceremony. [4]
  2. Pacquiao, a professional boxer, is a non-participant in the Olympic Games.
  3. EJ Obiena was originally chosen, but he was replaced due to the introduction of a new protocol requiring flagbearers to be in Tokyo 48 hours prior to the opening ceremony. Obiena is scheduled to arrived on 23 July, on the very day of the opening ceremony itself. [11] [12]

The Philippines competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7 to 23 February 2014. The country's participation in the games marks the first time a figure skater from Southeast Asia competed in the Games. It is a first time that the Philippines competed in Russia as the Philippines and 63 other western nations did not take part in the American-led boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the Soviet-Afghan war.

Nesthy Alcayde Petecio is a Filipino amateur boxer. She won a silver medal in the inaugural women's featherweight event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, becoming the first Filipino woman to win an Olympic medal in boxing. She also won a silver medal at the 2014 World Championships and gold at the 2019 edition.

Asa Bisquera Miller is a Filipino American alpine skier who competed for the Philippines at the Winter Olympics in the giant slalom and slalom. He competed in the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics, also serving as the flagbearer for his country during the respective game's opening ceremonies. He previously participated in the 2017 World Junior Alpine Skiing Championships in Sweden.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2020 Summer Olympics Parade of Nations</span>

During the Parade of Nations within the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics opening ceremony, which took place on 23 July 2021, athletes and officials from each participating team entered the Olympic Stadium preceded by their flag and placard bearer. Each flag bearer will have been chosen either by the team's National Olympic Committee or by the athletes themselves. For the first time, each team had the option to allow two flag bearers, one male and one female, in an effort to promote gender equality. These Olympics were postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and due security measures some countries prevented their athletes to participate on event.
