Argentina sent to the 1956 Summer Olympics its seventh national team, under the auspices of the Argentine Olympic Committee, 28 athletes, who competed in 27 events in 8 sports. They brought home 2 medals: 1 silver and 1 bronze. The Argentine flag bearer was Isabel Avellán, the nation's first female Olympic Games flag bearer.

Tajikistan sent a delegation to compete at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy from 10–26 February 2010. This was the second time Tajikistan had participated in a Winter Olympic Games. The Tajikistani delegation consisted of one alpine skier, Andrei Drygin. He finished 51st in both the super-G and the downhill.

Bolivia at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany from 1–16 August 1936 was the nation's first appearance out of ten editions of the Summer Olympic Games. Bolivia sent to the 1936 Summer Olympics its first national team of one male athlete, Alberto Conrad, under the auspices of the Bolivian Olympic Committee. Conrad was the flag bearer, and he was a swimmer who competed in the men's 100 meter freestyle, where he was eliminated during the heats. Bolivia would return to the Summer Olympics at the fifteenth edition in 1964, although a team was sent to the 1956 Winter Olympics.

He served as Argentina's flag bearer at the 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony. and followed in 2014 as flagbearer. He is the brother of fellow alpine skiers María Belén Simari Birkner and Macarena Simari Birkner.

Cecilia Carranza Saroli is an Argentine Olympic sailor. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's Laser Radial class, finishing in the 21st place. At the 2008 Summer Olympics she finished 8th in the same event. Cecilia won the gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games. At the 2016 Summer Olympics she won the gold medal in the category Nacra 17 alongside fellow sailor Santiago Lange.

During the Parade of Nations within the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympics opening ceremony, athletes and officials from each participating team marched in the Maracanã Stadium preceded by their flag and placard bearer. Cristina Hardekopf, also spelled Christina, is a diver who was Argentina's flag bearer at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. She was scheduled to compete in the Women's 3 metre springboard contest, but withdrew due to illness or an injury.
