Mbali Dlamini is a South African politician from Mpumalanga. A member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), she has represented Mpumalanga in the National Council of Provinces since 2022. [1]

Life and career

Dlamini was born in Mkhondo, Mpumalanga. [2] She joined the EFF in 2014 while a student at the Tshwane University of Technology, [2] and she was elected to the party's Central Command in 2019. [3] Before her ascension to Parliament, from November 2021 to September 2022, Dlamini represented the EFF as a local councillor in Gert Sibande District Municipality. [2]

She became an MPP in May 2019 and served as the party's chief whip. Makamba-Botya was also the deputy chairperson of the EFF in the province.
