Natasha Mannuela as Miss Indonesia 2016 from Bangka-Belitung Islands crowned her successor, Achintya Holte Nielsen [2] from West Nusa Tenggara. She represented Indonesia in Miss World 2017.

Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.
A swimsuit competition, more commonly now called a bikini contest, is a beauty contest which is judged and ranked while contestants wear a swimsuit, typically a bikini. One of the judging criteria is the physical attractiveness of the contestants. The Big Four international beauty pageants have included examples of such a competition.
Miss World 2006, the 56th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 September 2006 at the Sala Kongresowa, the main 2,897-seat auditorium of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. It was the first time ever that the pageant was held in the Continental Europe and a European city other than London, United Kingdom, having previously been held there in 2002 after the Nigeria Controversy. The pageant officially concluded after Taťána Kuchařová from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2006 by outgoing titleholder Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland.
Miss World 2005, the 55th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 10 December 2005 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. María Julia Mantilla of Peru crowned her successor Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. 102 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. All contestants competed in three "fast track" events, Beach Beauty, Miss Talent, and Beauty With a Purpose contests. The winner of each competition immediately became one of the fifteen pageant semi-finalists. She became the third Icelandic woman to win Miss World.
Miss Indonesia is a national beauty pageant in Indonesia, organized by MNC Group under Miss Indonesia Organization, chaired by Liliana Tanoesoedibjo and sponsored by Sariayu Martha Tilaar. The winner of Miss Indonesia represents the country in Miss World pageant, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants and participates in various social actions in cooperation with Yayasan Jalinan Kasih, MNC Peduli and Miss World Organization program, Beauty with a Purpose.
Miss Indonesia 2011 is the seventh edition of Miss Indonesia beauty pageant. It features the theme of Ragam Cantik Indonesia. The pageant was held at Central Park, Jakarta on June 3, 2011 and was hosted by Ferdie Hasan and Sandra Angelia. The current titleholder of Miss World, Alexandria Mills attended the awarding night, when Asyifa Latief of West Java crowned her successor, Astrid Ellena Indriana Yunadi from East Java.
Miss Indonesia 2012 is the eighth edition of Miss Indonesia. The pageant was held at Hall D2 JIExpo, Kemayoran on April 28, 2012, and was hosted by Ferdi Hassan and Amanda Zevannya. The current titleholder of Miss World, Ivian Sarcos attended the awarding night, when Astrid Ellena of East Java crowned her successor, Ines Putri Chandra from Bali.

The winner of Miss Indonesia 2013 will represent Indonesia in Miss World 2013 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The current titleholder of Miss World, Wenxia Yu attended the awarding night, when Ines Putri of Bali crowned her successor.

Miss World 2013, Megan Young of Philippines attended the awarding night. Vania Larissa as Miss Indonesia 2013 from West Kalimantan crowned her successor, Maria Rahajeng from West Sulawesi. She represented Indonesia in Miss World 2014 in London, England and place in Top 25.
The Miss World Spain Málaga contest is a regional beauty pageant of Spain and has been held since 2013. It is responsible for selecting local's representative to the Miss World pageant.

Achintya Holte Nilsen is an Indonesian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Indonesia 2017. She represented Indonesia at the Miss World 2017 pageant and finished in the top 10, winning Beauty with a Purpose, Miss World Asia and Best Designer Award.
Manushi Chhillar is an Indian actress and model, who was the winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant. She represented her state of Haryana at the Femina Miss India 2017 pageant, which she won, and went on to become the sixth representative from India to be crowned Miss World. She made her acting debut in Bollywood with the role of Sanyogita in the historical drama Samrat Prithviraj (2022).
Ivhanrel Eltrisna Sumerah is an Indonesian artist, journalist, and beauty pageant titleholder. She was crowned Miss Sulawesi Utara 2017 on January 1, 2017 in Manado, North Sulawesi. She is the second runner-up of Miss Indonesia 2017.
Alya Nurshabrina Samadikun is an Indonesian model, and former beauty pageant titleholder. She represented province of West Java at Miss Indonesia 2018, where she won and was crowned by the Miss Indonesia 2017 titleholder, Achintya Holte Nilsen, in the finale held on 22 February 2018. She then represented Indonesia at the Miss World 2018 pageant in China.
