Miss Indonesia 2016 is the 12th edition of the Miss Indonesia pageant. It was held on February 24, 2016, at Studio 14th RCTI, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta, Indonesia. Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain attended the awarding night.
Maria Harfanti as Miss Indonesia 2015 from Yogyakarta Special Region crowned her successor, Natasha Mannuela Halim from Bangka-Belitung Islands. [1] [2] She represented Indonesia in Miss World 2016. [3]

A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants.
Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.
A swimsuit competition, more commonly now called a bikini contest, is a beauty contest which is judged and ranked while contestants wear a swimsuit, typically a bikini. One of the judging criteria is the physical attractiveness of the contestants. The Big Four international beauty pageants have included examples of such a competition.
Miss World 2006, the 56th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 September 2006 at the Sala Kongresowa, the main 2,897-seat auditorium of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. It was the first time ever that the pageant was held in the Continental Europe and a European city other than London, United Kingdom, having previously been held there in 2002 after the Nigeria Controversy. The pageant officially concluded after Taťána Kuchařová from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2006 by outgoing titleholder Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland.
Miss Indonesia is a national beauty pageant in Indonesia, organized by MNC Group under Miss Indonesia Organization, chaired by Liliana Tanoesoedibjo and sponsored by Sariayu Martha Tilaar. The winner of Miss Indonesia represents the country in Miss World pageant, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants and participates in various social actions in cooperation with Yayasan Jalinan Kasih, MNC Peduli and Miss World Organization program, Beauty with a Purpose.

The current titleholder of Miss World, Wenxia Yu attended the awarding night, when Ines Putri of Bali crowned her successor.

Miss World 2013, Megan Young of Philippines attended the awarding night. Vania Larissa as Miss Indonesia 2013 from West Kalimantan crowned her successor, Maria Rahajeng from West Sulawesi. She represented Indonesia in Miss World 2014 in London, England and place in Top 25.

Stephanie Del Valle Díaz is a Puerto Rican musician, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World 2016. She is the second woman from Puerto Rico to win the Miss World title, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975. She previously won Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016.

She represented province of West Java at Miss Indonesia 2018, where she won and was crowned by the Miss Indonesia 2017 titleholder, Achintya Holte Nilsen, in the finale held on 22 February 2018. She then represented Indonesia at the Miss World 2018 pageant in China.

Natasha Mannuela Halim is an Indonesian model, ballerina, fashion designer, architecture contractor and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Indonesia 2016, she represented Indonesia at the Miss World 2016, where she was crowned 2nd Runner-up and Miss World Asia 2016, the highest placement for Indonesia so far.
Pricilia Carla Saputri Yules, better known as Carla Yules is an Indonesian actress, professional chef, TV Host, model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Miss Indonesia 2020 representing South Sulawesi. She represented Indonesia at the Miss World 2022 pageant, where she placed in the Top 6 along with the Miss World Asia & Oceania title. Yules is the fourth Indonesians to win the Miss World Asia & Oceania title, she also the tenth Indonesian to be placed as a finalist in Miss World history, 10 years in a row placement.
