Puteri Indonesia is a national beauty pageant in Indonesia that sends its winners to represent the country at Miss International, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. Puteri Indonesia is traditionally held in March, alongside the celebration of International Women's Day. The pageant also sends representatives to Miss Supranational and Miss Charm pageant, by giving the Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan and Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata titles to the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.

Miss Indonesia 2011 is the seventh edition of Miss Indonesia beauty pageant. It features the theme of Ragam Cantik Indonesia. The pageant was held at Central Park, Jakarta on June 3, 2011 and was hosted by Ferdie Hasan and Sandra Angelia. The current titleholder of Miss World, Alexandria Mills attended the awarding night, when Asyifa Latief of West Java crowned her successor, Astrid Ellena Indriana Yunadi from East Java.

Miss Indonesia 2012 is the eighth edition of Miss Indonesia. The pageant was held at Hall D2 JIExpo, Kemayoran on April 28, 2012, and was hosted by Ferdi Hassan and Amanda Zevannya. The current titleholder of Miss World, Ivian Sarcos attended the awarding night, when Astrid Ellena of East Java crowned her successor, Ines Putri Chandra from Bali.

Miss Indonesia 2013 was the ninth edition of the Miss Indonesia beauty pageant, held on February 20, 2013 at Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta. The winner of Miss Indonesia 2013 will represent Indonesia in Miss World 2013 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The current titleholder of Miss World, Wenxia Yu attended the awarding night, when Ines Putri of Bali crowned her successor.

Miss Indonesia 2014 is the 10th edition of the Miss Indonesia pageant. It was held on 17 February 2014 at Hall D2 Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta, Indonesia. Miss World 2013, Megan Young of Philippines attended the awarding night. Vania Larissa as Miss Indonesia 2013 from West Kalimantan crowned her successor, Maria Rahajeng from West Sulawesi. She represented Indonesia in Miss World 2014 in London, England and place in Top 25.

Anindya Kusuma Putri is an Indonesian actress, television host, beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2015. She represented her country at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. She is the fourth Indonesian and the second Javanese to be called as Miss Universe Finalist.

Puteri Indonesia 2016, the 20th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on February 19, 2016 at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. Anindya Kusuma Putri, Puteri Indonesia 2015 of Central Java, crowned her successor Kezia Warouw of North Sulawesi at the end of the event. All 39 contestants from 34 provinces competed for the crown. The winner represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2016, while the runners-up competed at Miss International 2016, Miss Supranational 2016, and Miss Grand International 2016. Also Miss International 2015 Edymar Martínez of Venezuela attend at the Grand Final Show. It is traditional for Miss Universe to attend on the Final Show of Puteri Indonesia, but Miss Universe 2015 of the Philippines had fashion show scheduled in New York City at the same time, and could not attend. Miss International 2015 replaced her as special guest.

Miss Indonesia 2016 is the 12th edition of the Miss Indonesia pageant. It was held on February 24, 2016, at Studio 14th RCTI, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta, Indonesia. Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain attended the awarding night.

Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw is an Indonesian National Narcotics Board of the Republic of Indonesia Ambassador, TV presenter, model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Puteri Indonesia 2016. She represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant, and placed "Top 13", the second highest placement that an Indonesian representative has achieved. She also won "Miss Phoenix Smile" and placed as a Top 10 in Best in National Costume competition at Miss Universe 2016. She is the fifth Indonesian and the first Minahasan to be called as Miss Universe Finalists.

Puteri Indonesia 2017, the 21st Puteri Indonesia pageant was held on March 31, 2017, at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta. Kezia Warouw, Puteri Indonesia 2016 of North Sulawesi crowned her successor Bunga Jelitha of Jakarta Special Capital Region 5 at the end of the event. All 38 contestants from 33 provinces competed for the crown. The winner will represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2017, while the runners-up will compete at the Miss International 2017, Miss Supranational 2017, and Miss Grand International 2017. Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere of France and Miss Grand International 2016 Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia attend at the Grand Final Show. Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova of Canada also attended the show as a judge.

Miss Indonesia 2017 is the 13th edition of the Miss Indonesia pageant. It was held on April 22, 2017, at MNC Studio, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta, Indonesia. Miss World 2016, Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico attended the awarding night.

She then represented Indonesia at the Miss World 2018 pageant in China.

Sonia Fergina Citra, Puteri Indonesia 2018 of Bangka Belitung, crowned her successor, Frederika Alexis Cull of Jakarta SCR 1, at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2019, where she placed in the Top 10, the highest placement that an Indonesian representative ever achieved.

Miss Indonesia 2019, the 15th edition of the Miss Indonesia pageant was held on February 15, 2019, at MNC Studio, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta, Indonesia. Miss World 2018, Vanessa Ponce of Mexico attended the awarding night. Alya Nurshabrina as Miss Indonesia 2018 from West Java crowned her successor, Princess Mikhaelia Audrey Megonondo from Jambi. She will represent Indonesia on Miss World 2019.
