Puteri Indonesia 2022, the 25th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on 27 May 2022 at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. [2] [3] Puteri Indonesia 2020, Raden Roro Ayu Maulida Putri of East Java crowned her successor, Laksmi Shari De-Neefe Suardana of Bali at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2022. Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020, Putu Ayu Saraswati of Bali and Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020, Jihane Almira Chedid of Central Java also crowned their successors, Cindy May McGuire of Jakarta SCR 5 and Adinda Cresheilla of East Java. Cresheilla represented the country at Miss Supranational 2022 where she placed 3rd runner-up, [4] while McGuire competed at Miss International 2022 but unplaced. [5] [6]
The finale was attended by Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz Sandhu of India and Miss International 2019, Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand. Miss Supranational 2021, Chanique Rabe of Namibia was replaced by her first runner-up, Karla Guilfu of Puerto Rico, since she was not able to attend the show. [7]
Puteri Indonesia 2022 was originally scheduled to be held on 18 March 2022. However, on 17 February, Yayasan Puteri Indonesia postponed the show due to rising COVID-19 cases. It was finally held on 27 May at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta. [2]
Choky Sitohang and Patricia Gouw returned to host Puteri Indonesia 2022. This was Sitohang's eleventh and Gouw's second time to host the pageant; they previously hosted Puteri Indonesia 2020 together. Bubah Alfian and Anastasia Praditha served as the backstage hosts. Bunga Citra Lestari, Mawar Eva de Jongh , and Vidi Aldiano performed. [8]
10 contestants were chosen from the regional competition held in their respective provinces. 29 contestants were selected by judges through an audition held in Jakarta and six by audiences through public voting. On 9 May 2022, Jazmine Callista Rowe of Bali 2 withdrew before the pre-quarantine started for an unknown reason. [9] In total, 44 contestants competed for the title. This edition also marked the first time that other provinces than Jakarta SCR had more than one representative. [10]

∆ Withdrew before the pre-quarantine started
The pre-quarantine of Puteri Indonesia 2022 was held from 11 May to 17 May 2022. Many activities, such as contestant's introduction, sashing ceremony, makeup class, catwalk class, official photoshoot and videoshoot, choreography practice, and COVID-19 test, were done during this period of time. [20]
Quarantine was held from 18 May to 26 May 2022. A new version of the Borobudur Crown was introduced during the press conference on the first day. [21] Other activities, such as welcome dinner, Fashion Show Indonesia Berbasis Budaya (Indonesian Fashion Show With Culture; including evening gown, talent, and traditional costume competition), Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week, visit to the Corruption Eradication Commission and National Agency of Drug and Food Control's office, psychology test, deep interview, and rehearsal, were also carried out. In this challenge, 45 contestants were divided into nine groups and they had to answer some questions given by Yayasan Puteri Indonesia. The winner from each group competed again in the semifinal round, before went head-to-head in the grand final round. [26] [27] [28]

Cokorda Istri Krisnanda Widani is an Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Ambassador, National Narcotics Board of the Republic of Indonesia Ambassador, Balinese dancer, model, beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2013 and represented Indonesia for the first time at the Miss Supranational 2013 beauty pageant, where she won as the 3rd Runner-up at the event.
Miss Indonesia 2014 is the tenth edition of the Miss Indonesia pageant. It was held on 17 February 2014 at Hall D2 Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta, Indonesia. Miss World 2013, Megan Young of Philippines attended the awarding night. Vania Larissa as Miss Indonesia 2013 from West Kalimantan crowned her successor, Maria Rahajeng from West Sulawesi. She represented Indonesia in Miss World 2014 in London, England and place in Top 25.
Putri Indonesia 2018, the 22nd Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on March 9, 2018 at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. Bunga Jelitha, Puteri Indonesia 2017 of Jakarta SCR 5, crowned her successor, Sonia Fergina Citra of Bangka Belitung, at the end of the event. She defeated 38 other candidates to win the title of Miss Universe Indonesia 2018 and represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2018, where she placed as one of the Top 20 finalists.
Puteri Indonesia 2019, the 23rd Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on March 8, 2019 at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. Sonia Fergina Citra, Puteri Indonesia 2018 of Bangka Belitung, crowned her successor, Frederika Alexis Cull of Jakarta SCR 1, at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2019, where she placed in the Top 10, the highest placement that an Indonesian representative ever achieved.

She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2020, where she placed among the Top 20 finalists.
Putu Ayu Saraswati popularly known as Ayu Saraswati is an Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Ambassador, Medical practitioner, fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020. Since 2020, she serves as the Ambassador and Advisory Council of Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection of The Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, that works for #SangGuruKehidupan in advocating for women empowerment, Child protection, elderly care, natural disaster and free healthcare programs. Ayu Saraswati is the second delegate from Bali to ever be crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan after Ayu Diandra Sari Tjakra in 2009. She was expected to represent Indonesia at Miss International 2022, but she withdrew from the competition.
Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan is a beauty pageant title organized by Puteri Indonesia Organization. Until 2022, it was established that the titleholder of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan was to be sent to the Miss International pageant. Starting 2024, the titleholder of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan will compete in an international beauty pageant that is decided by the Puteri Indonesia organization after Puteri Indonesia competition ends. The options include Miss International, Miss Supranational, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo.

Laksmi Shari De-Neefe Suardana, simply known as Laksmi De-Neefe Suardana, is an Indonesian fashion designer, author, UNICEF activist, 2022 G20 Ambassador, co-founder of Ubud Writers and Readers Festival, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2022. Suardana is the first representative from Bali to be crowned Puteri Indonesia. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2022.
Cindy May McGuire is an Indonesian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2022. She was also a 2022 G20 Ambassador in this role. She represented Indonesia in the Miss International 2022 pageant held in Tokyo, Japan.
Miss Indonesia 2022, was the 17th edition of the Miss Indonesia pageant, held on 15 September 2022 at RCTI+ Studio in Jakarta, Indonesia. Pricilia Carla Yules of South Sulawesi crowned Audrey Vanessa Susilo of North Sulawesi as her successor at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss World 2023 and placed in the Top 40, making it Indonesia's 11th consecutive placement at the pageant.

She is married to Kaesang Pangarep, the youngest son of Indonesian seventh president Joko Widodo.

Farhana Nariswari of West Java crowned her successor, Harashta Haifa Zahra of West Java, at the end of the event. This marks the first time a province won back-to-back titles in the pageant's history.

Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari is an Indonesian beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Cosmo 2024, becoming the First Ever Miss Cosmo. She had previously won the title Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2024.
Melati Tedja is an Indonesian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia Pendidikan & Kebudayaan 2024. She will represent Indonesia at the Miss Charm 2024 pageant which is scheduled to be held in Vietnam.
