Puteri Indonesia 2019, the 23rd Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on March 8, 2019 (International Women's Day) at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. [1] Sonia Fergina Citra, Puteri Indonesia 2018 of Bangka Belitung, crowned her successor, Frederika Alexis Cull of Jakarta SCR 1, at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2019, where she placed in the Top 10, the highest placement that an Indonesian representative ever achieved.
This edition also witnessed the crowning moment of other titleholders who would represent Indonesia at major international pageants. Jolene Marie Cholock Rotinsulu of North Sulawesi was crowned as Miss International Indonesia 2019 by the reigning Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2018, Vania Fitryanti Herlambang. She represented Indonesia at Miss International 2019. Jesica Fitriana Martasari of West Java was crowned as Miss Supranational Indonesia 2019 by the reigning Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2018, Wilda Octaviana Situngkir. She represented Indonesia at Miss Supranational 2019. [2] [3]
This year's pageant featured the 'Colorful West Nusa Tenggara' theme, [4] as well as a series of Puteri Indonesia quarantine events being held on the island of Lombok and Sumbawa in West Nusa Tenggara. [5] Contestants from 39 provinces participated this year.
The finale was attended by Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray of the Philippines, Miss International 2018, Mariem Velazco of Venezuela, and Miss Supranational 2018, Valeria Vázquez of Puerto Rico. [6]

Puteri Indonesia is a national beauty pageant in Indonesia. Puteri Indonesia is traditionally held in March, alongside the celebration of International Women's Day. The pageant annually sends its representative to compete at Miss International, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The pageant also sends representatives for Miss Supranational, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo pageants.
Puteri Indonesia 2012-2013, the 17th Annual Puteri Indonesia beauty pageant, was held in Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia on February 1, 2013.
Puteri Indonesia 2016, the 20th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on February 19, 2016 at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. Anindya Kusuma Putri, Puteri Indonesia 2015 of Central Java, crowned her successor Kezia Warouw of North Sulawesi at the end of the event. All 39 contestants from 34 provinces competed for the crown. The winner represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2016, while the runners-up competed at Miss International 2016, Miss Supranational 2016, and Miss Grand International 2016. Also Miss International 2015 Edymar Martínez of Venezuela attend at the Grand Final Show. It is traditional for Miss Universe to attend on the Final Show of Puteri Indonesia, but Miss Universe 2015 of the Philippines had fashion show scheduled in New York City at the same time, and could not attend. Miss International 2015 replaced her as special guest.
Puteri Indonesia 2017, the 21st Puteri Indonesia pageant was held on March 31, 2017, at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta. Kezia Warouw, Puteri Indonesia 2016 of North Sulawesi crowned her successor Bunga Jelitha of Jakarta Special Capital Region 5 at the end of the event. All 38 contestants from 33 provinces competed for the crown. The winner will represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2017, while the runners-up will compete at the Miss International 2017, Miss Supranational 2017, and Miss Grand International 2017. Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere of France and Miss Grand International 2016 Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia attend at the Grand Final Show. Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova of Canada also attended the show as a judge.
Putri Indonesia 2018, the 22nd Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on March 9, 2018 at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. Bunga Jelitha, Puteri Indonesia 2017 of Jakarta SCR 5, crowned her successor, Sonia Fergina Citra of Bangka Belitung, at the end of the event. She defeated 38 other candidates to win the title of Miss Universe Indonesia 2018 and represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2018, where she placed as one of the Top 20 finalists.
Sonia Fergina Citra is an Indonesian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Puteri Indonesia 2018. She represented her country at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant held in at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi Province, north of Bangkok, Thailand. Citra became the sixth Indonesian, third Sumatran and the second representative of Bangka Belitung to place in the semifinals in Miss Universe history.
Frederika Alexis Cull is an Indonesian-Australian actress, model, activist, and beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Puteri Indonesia 2019. She represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant, where she placed in the Top 10. She became the seventh Indonesian to place as a finalist in Miss Universe history.
Jolene Marie Cholock-Rotinsulu is an Indonesian-American beauty pageant titleholder and disability rights activist who won the title of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2019. She represented Indonesia at the Miss International 2019 pageant at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan where she finished as Top 8, continuing the ongoing 4th year placement streaks of Indonesia, consecutively since Felicia Hwang Yi Xin in 2016, Kevin Lilliana in 2017 and Vania Fitryanti in 2018.
Jesica Fitriana Martasari Alfharisi is an Indonesian Ministry of Tourism Ambassador, HIV/AIDS activist, Furniture designer, TV commercial model and a beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2019. She represented Indonesia at the Miss Supranational 2019 pageant, where she placed as the "2nd Runner-Up", the highest placement of Indonesia at the Miss Supranational pageant, became the sixth Indonesian to be placed as a finalist in Miss Supranational history, continuing the ongoing fifth year placement streaks of Indonesia, consecutively since Gresya Amanda Maaliwuga in 2015, Intan Aletrinö in 2016, Karina Nadila Niab in 2017 and Wilda Octaviana Situngkir in 2018.

Felicia Hwang Yi Xin popularly known as Felicia Hwang is an Indonesian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2016, She represented Indonesia at the Miss International 2016 pageant in Japan, where she finished as "2nd Runner-up" and won "Miss Best Dresser" award. Felicia repeating the same Indri Hapsari Suharto achievement precisely 39 years back in 1977 by finishing as the 2nd Runner-up in the respective Miss International beauty pageant. She is currently serving as the ambassador of the Indonesian National Narcotics Board.

Gresya became the second Indonesian to be placed as a finalist in Miss Supranational history, after Cok Istri Krisnanda Widani placement in 2013.
Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan is a beauty pageant title organized by Puteri Indonesia Organization. Until 2022, it was established that the titleholder of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan was to be sent to the Miss International pageant. Starting 2024, the titleholder of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan will compete in an international beauty pageant that is decided by the Puteri Indonesia organization after Puteri Indonesia competition ends. The options include Miss International, Miss Supranational, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo.

The titleholders of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata represent Indonesia in the international beauty pageants. The president-owner of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata are The Royal Highest Family of Surakarta Sunanate, Princess Mooryati Soedibyo and Princess Putri Kuswisnuwardhani. Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata is traditionally crowned in March, alongside the celebration of International Women's Day.
Puteri Indonesia 2022, the 25th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on 27 May 2022 at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Puteri Indonesia 2020, Raden Roro Ayu Maulida Putri of East Java crowned her successor, Laksmi Shari De-Neefe Suardana of Bali at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2022. Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020, Putu Ayu Saraswati of Bali and Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020, Jihane Almira Chedid of Central Java also crowned their successors, Cindy May McGuire of Jakarta SCR 5 and Adinda Cresheilla of East Java. Cresheilla represented the country at Miss Supranational 2022 where she placed 3rd runner-up, while McGuire competed at Miss International 2022 but unplaced.
Puteri Indonesia 2023, the 26th Puteri Indonesia pageant was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Puteri Indonesia 2022, Laksmi De-Neefe Suardana of Bali, crowned Farhana Nariswari from West Java 1 as her successor at the end of the event.
Yasinta Aurellia, is a model and Indonesia beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2023. She represented Indonesia at Miss Supranational 2023 beauty pageant in Małopolska, Poland and she was placed in the top 24 semifinalists.
Puteri Indonesia 2024, the 27th edition of the Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on 8 March 2024 at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Farhana Nariswari of West Java crowned her successor, Harashta Haifa Zahra of West Java, at the end of the event. This marks the first time a province won back-to-back titles in the pageant's history.
