Puteri Indonesia 2024, the 27th edition of the Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on March 8, 2024 at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. [2] [3] Farhana Nariswari of West Java crowned her successor, Harashta Haifa Zahra of West Java, at the end of the event. This marks the first time a province won back-to-back titles in Puteri Indonesia history. [4] [5] [6]
Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2023 Yasinta Aurellia of East Java, Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2023 Lulu Zaharani Krisna of Lampung, and 3rd Runner-Up Dinda Nur Safira of Yogyakarta SR also crowned Sophie Kirana of Yogyakarta SR, Ketut Permata Juliastrid of Bali, and Melati Tedja of East Java as Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2024, Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2024, and Puteri Indonesia Pendidikan & Kebudayaan 2024, respectively. [7] [8] [9]
For this 27th edition, the Puteri Indonesia Foundation (YPI) has officially announced that the coronation night will again be held at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta on March 8–coinciding with International Women's Day. [2] The Foundation has met with Maria F. Febryani as Creative Director for PT. Indonesia Entertainment Production (IEP), a subsidiary of Indonesia Entertainment Group (IEG), indicated that SCTV will be one of the media partners as well as a television network that has full broadcast rights to broadcast the final night live after consecutive four editions of the event.
The first 7 contestants were selected through regional competitions held in each organizing province. They are East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi and South Sulawesi. The other 35 contestants were selected by a selection committee through central auditions held at Graha Mustika Ratu, the organization's headquarters in Jakarta. he selection was supplemented by one delegate per 15 provinces who had been determined their 'Puteri Indonesia Fevorit Daerah', subsequently chosen by viewers through a public vote on the official website. [10] Four winners will have an additional '2' in their regional titles. [10] The organization also provides a two-ticket opportunity for alumni who have never reached the Top 3 in previous editions, but were eventually transferred for voting.
This edition marks the planned debut of five new provinces which will be included in the Eastern Indonesia group due to expansion on June 30, 2022 based on Law No. 16 of 2022. [11] They are the provinces of South Papua, Central Papua, Highland Papua, and Southwest Papua province. [11] This plan was later not implemented because the organization admitted that the administration was not yet complete and the regional government was not ready to send their delegation. This increase in the number of contestant slots had actually been planned since the previous two editions, but was not implemented for the same reason. Organization announces absence North Kalimantan and North Maluku in this edition. [12] [13]
The 15 participating provinces have one favorite delegate who is decided by the highest public vote and judges selection. Winners per province will compete fully to become one of the contestants for Puteri Indonesia 2024.

Puteri Indonesia Foundation announced several different changes to the format of this edition. The number of semifinalists increased to sixteen—an increase of one from the previous edition. The results of the preliminary competition held on March 2, 2024, which consisted of talent, traditional costume and evening gown competitions, and closed interviews, determined the first thirteen semi-finalists who were selected at large. Additionally, voting was used again in this edition, with voters determining the fourteenth to sixteenth delegates who would advance to the final. Sixteen semifinalists competed in the speech judging, then narrowed down to five and added by one from a second voting. The six finalists then competed in a question and answer and speech competition in which four delegates were selected to advance as final finalists. The four finalists competed in the final question, after which they were announced Puteri Indonesia, Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan, Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata and Puteri Indonesia Pendidikan & Kebudayaan. [14] [15]
There were twelve selection committee members. [16]
In this activity, all contestants had to go through a mandatory official photo shoot, then five delegates from The Most Photogenic were selected by Bubah Alfian and Albert Yanuar to take another special photo shoot by Denny Mirrorcle.
