The Romanian Footballer of the Year, also known as the Nicolae Dobrin Trophy, is an annual association football award given by the Gazeta Sporturilor newspaper to the Romanian player adjudged to have been the best during a calendar year. The current holder is Dennis Man, who won the award for his performances in 2024 representing Parma.

Pavel Cebanu is a former Moldovan football player who played as a midfielder. He spent his entire career, from 1973 to 1985, at the Moldovan side Nistru Chişinău. He was captain for many years and played 372 games scoring 46 goals.
