The 12875 / 12876 Neelachal Express is a tri-weekly train which runs between Puri in Odisha and Anand Vihar Terminal railway station. It is one of the oldest trains that connect Puri to Anand Vihar Terminal. The main towns along the route are Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijili, Tatanagar, Bokaro Steel City, Muri, Gomoh, Gaya, Mughalsarai, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Unnao and Kanpur. It operates three times per week and covers a distance of 1,912 kilometres (1,188 mi) from Puri to Anand Vihar Terminal. Neelachal Express consists of 1 AC First Class coach, 2 Second AC coach, 6 Third AC coaches, 7 Sleeper Class coaches, 2 General (Un-Reserved) coaches, 1 Pantry Car, 1 Divyangjan Coach and 1 EOG. [2]

Background

This train is given name on The abode of Hindu deity Jagannath at Puri is known as the Nilachal or Niladri, [Nila (Blue) + Achal (Mountain)] meaning, The Blue Mountain. The Nilachal is a place of high religious significance in Hinduism and is one of the four Char Dhams. Religious teachers like Shri Ramanuja Acharya, Swami Vishnuswami visited Nilachal in the twelfth century and established a mathas. Shri Nimbarka Acharya also visited Puri, as also Guru Nanak Dev and many other Acharyas. Shri Chaitanya spent 18 years at Nilachal dhama.

As the route is fully electrified, Ghaziabad-based WAP-7 locomotive powers the train from Puri to Anand Vihar Terminal.

Rewa – Anand Vihar Terminal SF Express is a daily Superfast Express train of the Indian Railways, running between Rewa, a city of Madhya Pradesh and Anand Vihar Terminal of Delhi with LHB coaches which are more safe than normal ICF coaches. The train originally used to run from New Delhi Railway Station before being shifted to Anand Vihar station on 2 September 2012. The train is operated by the Northern Railway zone of Indian Railways on the section which is part of the busy Howrah–Delhi main line. It is, along with the prestigious Shaan - E - Bhopal Express, one of the "first" ISO 9002 certified trains of India because of its security features and high priority on the Indian Railways. But it takes two hours more than Rajdhani Express to cover the same distance. It is also slower than some other Superfast trains in this section, but has one of highest commercial speeds among Non-Rajdhani trains.

The 12819 / 12820 Odisha Sampark Kranti Express is a bi-weekly train which runs between Bhubaneswar, capital of Odisha and Anand Vihar Terminal. This train was introduced as part of the Sampark Kranti trains that were announced by the then railway minister Nitish Kumar in 2005. It was and still is a bi-weekly train. Earlier the train used to terminate at New Delhi railway station (NDLS) but now terminates at Anand Vihar Terminus (ANVT) of New Delhi. Its rakes are maintained by East Coast Railway (ECoR).

The 12801 / 12802 Purushottam Express is a daily train which runs between Puri in Odisha and New Delhi. It is one of the most highly demanded train between Puri to New Delhi. The train is of Superfast category and passes through states of Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh.
