New York Magic is an American women's soccer team, founded in 1997. The team was an original member of United Women's Soccer from 2016-2017. They played in the USL W-League from 1997 until the league folded after the 2015 season.
Over the years, the team has attracted high level players from many nations and top-level college programs. Its mission is to provide an avenue for the development of women soccer players in a highly competitive environment, and to provide wholesome quality family entertainment while developing the game of soccer in its community. Since 2003, it has also developed powerful youth teams that enable New York area girls, ages 12 to 16, to train intensively and compete at a high level through the Super Y-League.
Magic's head coach, Nino DePasquali, was inducted into the Soccer Hall of Fame in 2007.

John Kaleo is a former American football quarterback in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the Albany Firebirds (1993), Cleveland Thunderbolts (1994), St. Louis Stampede (1995–1996), Anaheim Piranhas (1997), San Jose SaberCats (1997), New England Sea Wolves (1999), Tampa Bay Storm, Austin Wranglers (2004), Los Angeles Avengers (2005), and Columbus Destroyers (2006). He won ArenaBowl XVII with the Storm in 2003. He retired from playing after the 2007 season, and is currently the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Storm. Prior to this role, he was quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.
The New Jersey Wildcats is an American women's soccer team, founded by Vincent Baldino in 1996. The team was a member of the United Soccer Leagues W-League, the second tier of women's soccer in the United States and Canada. The team played in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference against the D.C. United Women, New Jersey Rangers, Long Island Rough Riders, New York Magic and North Jersey Valkyries.
