Nicolas Collins (born April 21, 2001) [1] is a Swiss-born drummer, [2] known for his association with his father Phil Collins, Genesis and Mike and the Mechanics, as well as for his band, Better Strangers. [3] [4]
Collins is the son of singer and drummer Phil Collins and his third wife Orianne Cevey. [1] Collins started drumming at the age of 2. [1] He first got exposure at age 15, when he played drums on his father's comeback, Not Dead Yet Tour. [5] Which started in 2017 and concluded in 2019. [6]
Collins continued to play with his father on Genesis' The Last Domino? Tour, [7] which was started in 2020 and concluded in 2022. [8] Keyboardist Tony Banks praised Collins' skills, saying " his approach gave the group the opportunity to perform songs that they had previously avoided." [7]
In 2022, Collins debuted his new band, Better Strangers, which also includes bassist Yang Waingarten, guitarist Joey Rodriguez and singer Ricky deCasa. [9] In April 2022 they released their debut single "But I Don’t Know Your Name", [10] [11]
In September 2022, Collins was announced to be touring with Mike and the Mechanics on their 2023 Refueled tour, covering for regular drummer, Gary Wallis. [12]

Face Value is the debut solo studio album by English drummer and singer-songwriter Phil Collins, released on 13 February 1981 by Virgin Records. After his first wife filed for divorce in 1979, Collins began to write songs during a break in activity from Genesis with much of the material concerning his personal life. The album was recorded from mid-1980 to early 1981 with Collins and Hugh Padgham as producers. Additional musicians include the Phenix Horns, Alphonso Johnson, and Eric Clapton.
Seconds Out is the second live album by English progressive rock band Genesis. It was released as a double album on 14 October 1977 on Charisma Records, and was their first with touring drummer Chester Thompson and their last with guitarist Steve Hackett. The majority was recorded in June 1977 at the Palais des Sports in Paris during the Wind & Wuthering Tour. "Mama" is a song by the English rock band Genesis, released as the first single in 1983 from their self-titled album. It is recognisable for its harsh drum machine introduction composed by Mike Rutherford, which leads into minimalist synthesizer lines in a minor tonality and finally Phil Collins' reverb-laden voice. "I Don't Care Anymore" is a song written, performed, and produced by English drummer Phil Collins. It was the second US single from Collins' second solo album, Hello, I Must Be Going! (1982). Turn It On Again: The Tour was a 2007 concert tour of Europe and North America by the English rock band Genesis. The tour was notable for the return of drummer and vocalist Phil Collins, who had fronted the band during their most commercially successful period before leaving in 1996, rejoining founder members Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford, with their traditional on-stage musicians, Chester Thompson on drums and Daryl Stuermer on guitar/bass.
The Way We Walk – Live in Concert is a 1992 live video from the We Can't Dance tour by Genesis. The footage was videotaped on 6th, 7th and 8th November 1992 at Earls Court in London, and first released on VHS on the 29th March 1993 as Genesis Live – The Way We Walk – In Concert. It was also available on PAL format LaserDisc. In November 26th 2001 the video was reissued on DVD.
The A Trick of the Tail Tour was a concert tour of the United States, Canada and European countries by English rock band Genesis. This was the first tour after Peter Gabriel left the band, and the only one with Bill Bruford on drums.
The Last Domino? Tour was a concert tour by English rock band Genesis, staged following the announcement of their reunion after a 13-year hiatus. It featured the core trio of keyboardist Tony Banks, drummer/singer Phil Collins, and bassist/guitarist Mike Rutherford, the most commercially successful line-up in the band's history, with Daryl Stuermer on guitars and bass, and Collins's son Nic on drums.
