Nolan Hill is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located near the north edge of the city, it is bounded by Sarcee Trail to the west, 144 Avenue N.W. to the north, the Sage Hill community across Shaganappi Trail to the east, and the Sherwood community across 128 Avenue N.W. to the south. In the City of Calgary's 2016 municipal census, Nolan Hill had a population of 3,756 living in 1,583 dwellings, a change of 118% since recording a population of 1,723 in 2015. [2]
University Heights is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bordered by the University of Calgary, McMahon Stadium, the Alberta Children's Hospital and Foothills Hospital. It is a relatively small neighbourhood and is bounded to the north by 24 Avenue NW, to the east by University Drive NW, to the south by 16 Avenue NW and to the west by Shaganappi Trail NW.
Sandstone Valley is a suburban neighbourhood in northwest Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located northwest of the community of Beddington Heights, this primarily low-density residential community is bounded by Country Hills Boulevard to the north, Beddington Trail to the east, Berkshire Boulevard to the south and 14th Street W to the west. Hillhurst is a community located within the inner city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The boundaries of the community are 8th Avenue NW to the north, 10th Street NW to the east, the Bow River to the south, and 18th Street NW to the west. The communities of Hillhurst and the neighbouring Sunnyside together form the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Association. The two communities have an area redevelopment plan in place, revised in 2009.
Varsity is an established neighbourhood in the Northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It was developed in the 1960s and early 1970s on a plateau to the north of the Bow River valley, and is primarily composed of Single-detached dwellings on wide lots. The neighbourhood comprises three major areas: Varsity Acres, Varsity Village, and Varsity Estates. Varsity is bounded on the north and east by Crowchild Trail, on the west by the Bow River, and on the south by 32nd Avenue NW. It borders the neighbourhoods of Silver Springs and Bowness on the west side, and both Montgomery and the University of Calgary campus on the south side. The easternmost portion of Varsity contains the University of Calgary Research Park.
Scarboro is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located in the inner city, between Bow Trail, 24th Street West and 14th St West. Its north-south boundaries are 12th Avenue South and 17th Avenue South. The community is bisected by the Crowchild Trail freeway.
Crescent Heights is a neighbourhood located in Calgary, Alberta. It is located in the inner city, immediately north from Downtown. It is bounded to the north by the Trans-Canada Highway, on the east by Edmonton Trail, on the west by 4th Street NW, and to the south by Memorial Drive and the Bow River.

Country Hills is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by the Country Hills Boulevard, to the south by Beddington Trail, and to the east by Harvest Hills Boulevard. To the southwest, it is bordered by the Country Hills golf course which began construction in 1989 and opened in 1992. The clubhouse along with the fully developed course opened in 1999. the area is also bordered by the West Nose Creek. The neighborhood is often mistaken with Country Hills Estates which lies to the south between Country Hills Golf Club and Beddington Trail which was developed a decade earlier. The new community of Country Hills Village is located in the northeast of the neighbourhood. Country Hills is a generally calm and quiet area.
Tuxedo Park is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast and northwest quadrants of Calgary, Alberta. The inner city community is bounded to the north by 32 Avenue N, by Edmonton Trail to the east, the Trans-Canada Highway to the south and 2 Street NW to the west. The community is bisected by Centre Street from north to south.
Patterson Heights is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Sarcee Trail to the east and north, Bow Trail to the south, 69 Street to the west and Old Banff Coach Road to the south. Edworthy Park, developed in the Bow River valley, borders the community to the north and east across Sarcee Trail.

Harvest Hills is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Deerfoot Trail to the east, by Beddington Trail to the south, by Country Hills Boulevard to the north and by Harvest Hills Boulevard to the west. The community contains a lake. The Harvest Hills golf course, shut down in early 2016 with demolition planned for late 2016 and early 2017, is in the process of redevelopment to add additional housing options in the northeast corner of the community.

Shaganappi Trail is a major super-4 expressway in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It extends to the south as Montgomery View, a small service road in the neighbourhood of Montgomery and that provides access to Edworthy Park, passes north past Market Mall and the western boundary of Nose Hill Park, and terminates in the neighbourhood of Nolan Hill in the north, with city planning maps indicating future northern extension beyond 144 Avenue NW. The name "Shaganappi" is of Cree origin, referring to the bison hide lacings that held Red River ox carts together. Despite the name, it is not located near the Shaganappi neighbourhood, which is located south of the Bow River.

It is one of five communities in the Symons Valley area. West Nose Creek flows through the eastern part of Sage Hill.
