Ogwu Ekpeye

Ogwu Ekpeye is a festival traditionally celebrated by Ekpeye tribe in Rivers State. [1] It is celebrated yearly [1] and in the honour of the first daughters. [2]

Before the commencement of this festival, the monarch, called Eze Igbu Ubie of Ubie kingdom in Ahoada West Local Government Area, Eze Maxwell A. Okpokiri, declares it open, after which there are traditional activities such as visitations, folklores, rites, and others. [3]

The Ogba is a tribe of the Benin ancestral group in Rivers state. The Ogba people speak the Ogba language. The Ogba reside in a local government called Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni in Rivers state Nigeria. The village square at Otobo ugwu is likely the first village square in Lejja contains over 800 blocks of slag weighs between 34 and 57 kg. Geophysical investigations have located buried iron slag in several other locations in the community.

Eze V. B. C. Onyema III was a Nigerian traditional ruler of Ogwu-Ikpele in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, South Eastern from 1976 until his death in 2024. He was the successor to his father, Eze Onyema II, and one of three Patrons of the Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Rebisi is a traditional kingdom of the Ikwerre people in what is today Nigeria. It is located in Port Harcourt and comprises the localities of Oroabali, Orolozu, Orogbum, Oroworukwo, Orochiri, Oromeruezimgbu and Oroada.
