Prem Chandra Mishra is an Indian politician and member of the Bihar Legislative Council. In the elections on 23 March,11 candidates were elected unopposed. [1] He is also the AICC media panelist.
Mishra was born on 25 December 1961. He studied in Watson School,Madhubani. He joined the NSUI at the age of 17. He participated in many events in Madhubani. He was recognised by the then Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi and senior leaders like Sitaram Kesri and was made All India NSUI General Secretary. He was given the charge of A number of states like Haryana,Punjab,Himachal Pradesh,Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir. He conducted massive rally's for the congress party and got appointed as the President of Bihar NSUI. Since his early days he was passionate about social work. In his pursuit of passion,he actively participated in the politics since school days.

The Fodder Scam was a corruption scandal that involved the embezzlement of about ₹9.4 billion from the government treasury of the north Indian state of Bihar. Among those implicated in the theft and arrested were then Chief Minister of Bihar,Lalu Prasad Yadav,as well as former Chief Minister,Jagannath Mishra. The scandal led to the end of Lalu's reign as Chief Minister. Dr. Dineshwar Prasad Sharma is also alleged to have received ₹300.60 crores from S. N. Sinha. On 23 December 2017,Lalu Prasad Yadav was convicted by a special CBI court while Jagannath Misra was acquitted.

Born in Village Amba Ojha Tola,in Sheohar He started his career by becoming the Mukhiya of his home panchayat in the year 1967. Thereafter,in 1967 he became Chairman of Zila Parishad. He started his legislative career in 1972 when he was elected as a MLA on Congress Ticket. He was elected from Sheohar for a record six consecutive terms before 1998. He was twice elected as a Member of Parliament from Gopalganj and Bettiah respectively.

Jitan Ram Manjhi is an Indian politician from the eastern state of Bihar who served as its 23rd Chief Minister from 20 May 2014 to 20 February 2015. He is President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM). Previously,he had served as minister for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes welfare in Nitish Kumar's cabinet. He has been a minister in several Bihar state governments,under multiple chief ministers like Chandrashekhar Singh,Bindeshwari Dubey,Satyendra Narayan Sinha,Jagannath Mishra,Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.

The alliance consists of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD),Janata Dal (United),Indian National Congress (INC) and Left parties including Communist Party of India (CPI),Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation-CPIML (Liberation) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM),with Nitish Kumar as the leader and Tejashwi Yadav as the chairperson. It is the ruling coalition government in Bihar.
