Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (or Arunachal PCC) is the state wing of Indian National Congress serving in Arunachal Pradesh. It is responsible for organizing and coordinating the party's activities and campaigns within the state, as well as selecting candidates for local, state, and national elections for all districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The current president of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee is Nabam Tuki, who is also a former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. [1]

The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in October 2009, concurrently with the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana. The elections were held in the state for all 60 Assembly seats on 2009-10-13. The results were declared on 2009-10-22. Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu's Indian National Congress party came back to power in the state with an increased majority, winning 42 seats in the 60 seat Assembly.

Considered one of the most powerful northeastern leaders in the Indian National Congress, she served as President of Arunachal Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee. Deori was believed to have had very close relations with Indira Gandhi.
