The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (or Manipur PCC) is the unit of the Indian National Congress for the state of Manipur, India. [1] It is responsible for organizing and coordinating the party's activities and campaigns within the state, as well as selecting candidates for local, state, and national elections in Manipur. Its head office is situated at the Congress Bhawan, B.T. Road, Imphal.

Before that, he was a member of the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. Ganesan is a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a veteran of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Nongthombam Biren Singh is an Indian politician, former footballer and journalist who is currently serving as the 12th Chief Minister of Manipur since 2017, in addition to representing the Heingang Assembly constituency in the Manipur Legislative Assembly since 2002. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Besides being the chairman of Shri Shri Govindaji Temple Board, he is the first incumbent Chief Minister who serves as the president of the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB), the temple development board of Lainingthou Sanamahi of the Sanamahi religion since 2021.

Radhabinod Koijam is a politician from Manipur. He briefly served as the 10th Chief Minister of Manipur in 2001.

Wahengbam Nipamacha Singh was chief Minister of the northeastern India state of Manipur. Nipamacha Singh became chief minister replacing Rishang Keishing from the Congress in 1997.

The Manipur Kingdom also known as Meckley was an ancient kingdom at the India–Burma frontier. Historically, Manipur was an independent kingdom ruled by a Meitei dynasty. But it was also invaded and ruled over by Burmese kingdom at various point of time. It became a protectorate of the British East India Company from 1824, and a princely state of British Raj in 1891. It bordered Assam Province in the west and British Burma in the east, and in the 20th century covered an area of 22,327 square kilometres and contained 467 villages. The capital of the state was Imphal.

Ningthoukhongjam Khelchandra Singh was an Indian writer, lexicographer and historian, known as the author of Manipuri to Manipuri and English, the first modern general dictionary in Meitei language, which was published in 1964. He was a fellow of the Sahitya Akademi and Sangeet Natak Akademi. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1987.

Thounaojam Chaoba Singh is former Indian Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party state president from Manipur. He is popularly known as Utlou Chaoba by people of Manipur.

Rajkumar Jhalajit Singh was an Indian writer, historian, Gandhian and academic. He was known for his book, "A Short History of Manipur", which was banned from publishing or selling by his own family members, because the book misleads the readers that the Manipuris are the descendants of Arjuna of the Mahabharata.

The North-East Democratic Alliance is a political coalition that was formed on May 24, 2016, by Bharatiya Janata Party. The motive of the new political front was to unite non-Congress parties in Northeast India. Himanta Biswa Sarma was appointed as the convenor of the front.

Rajkumar Jaichandra Singh, also known as R. K. Jaichandra Singh was the 7th chief minister of NorthEastern Indian state of Manipur from 1988 to 1990. He was a close aide of the former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and a prominent leader for the state-unit of Indian National Congress (INC) from Sagolband Assembly Constituency in Manipur. He is the first Union Minister from Manipur having served in the Cabinet of Rajiv Gandhi between 1985 and 1988 as the Union Minister for Sports and Youth affairs, and later on as the Chemicals and Petrochemicals Minister. He was also closely associated with former Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi during the emergency period of Trikha Commission in Manipur.

Wabagai (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is one of the 60 assembly constituencies of Manipur a central Indian state. Wabagai is also part of Outer Manipur Lok Sabha constituency.

Rajkumar Imo Singh, also known as R.K. Imo Singh is an Indian politician from the State of Manipur belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was earlier a member of the Indian National Congress, and was elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly from Sagolband constituency in 2012 and 2017. He joined the BJP in 2021 and got re-elected in 2022.
