Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee(UPCC) is the Pradesh Congress Committee (state wing) of the Indian National Congress (INC) serving in the state of Uttar Pradesh. [2] It is responsible for organizing and coordinating the party's activities and campaigns within the state, as well as selecting candidates for local, state, and national elections.

Contents

The committee has a long history of political influence in the state, having played a significant role in the state's politics during the pre-independence era and after. However, it has faced challenges in recent years, including a decline in electoral support and internal conflicts. Congress Working Committee Appointed Priyanka Gandhi as General Secretary of UP (East), later she has taken charge of General Secretary (AICC). CLP Leader of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee is Aradhana Misra 3rd Term MLA from Rampur Khas, Pratapgarh. [3] [4]

Tribhuvan Narain Singh was an Indian politician and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He remained Chief Minister from 18 October 1970 till 4 April 1971. Singh later served as Governor of West Bengal from the late 1970s until 1981. He was born and died in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He also served as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and as Union Minister of Industry and Steel.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh is the subnational government of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh with the governor as its appointed constitutional head of the state by the President of India. The Governor of Uttar Pradesh is appointed for a period of five years and appoints the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and their council of ministers, who are vested with the executive powers of the state. The Indian National Congress (INC) is one of the two major political parties in India. The prominent members of the party are the president Sonia Gandhi, vice-president Rahul Gandhi, former prime minister Manmohan Singh and Priyanka Gandhi. INC took part in the elections alongside other members of the United Progressive Alliance. Bukkal Nawab is an Indian Politician from the BJP and an ex-senior leader of the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. Nawab was a close associate of the Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav, but he joined BJP and is now considered close to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He belongs to a prominent Nawab family while his ancestors served as the heads in the Royal Kingdom of Awadh. His father Dara Nawab served as an Aviator under the Indian Government. Nawab started his political career in 1989 when he emerged victorious as an independent candidate from the Daulatganj ward in the Lucknow Nagar Nigam elections and topped the state on the basis of highest marginal win.

Ajay Kumar Lallu is an Indian politician and a member of the 16th and 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh of India, and ex-president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. He represents the Tamkuhi Raj constituency in the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. He is a leader of Indian National Congress in Uttar Pradesh.
