Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus, officially Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R. Bus Terminus, is a bus terminus located in Chennai, India, providing inter-state bus transport services. It is located on the 100 feet (30 m) Jawaharlal Nehru Salai in Koyambedu between SAF Games Village and the Koyambedu Vegetable Market. It is the second largest bus terminus in India as well as Asia. Chennai Metro Rail has operated a coach depot behind the bus terminus since 2015.

The ITC Grand Chola is a 5-star luxury hotel in Chennai, India. It is located in Guindy, opposite SPIC building and along the same row of buildings as Ashok Leyland Towers. The building, designed by Singapore-based SRSS Architects, is of mixed-use development with three separate wings and is themed after traditional Dravidian architecture of the Chola dynasty. Chennai Trade Centre is a permanent exhibition complex in Nandambakkam, Chennai, hosting several trade fairs and conventions round the year. It is the first fair infrastructure that has been developed by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO)—the premier trade promotion agency of the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry—outside Delhi. A joint initiative of the ITPO and the Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organisation, which hold 51 and 49 percent stakes, respectively, the Trade Centre was designed by C R Narayan Rao, and was commissioned in January 2001, while the convention centre was commissioned on 1 November 2004. The exhibition hall was constructed at an estimated cost of ₹ 23 crore and the convention centre at a cost of ₹ 22 crore. Together, these centres cover 10,560 sq m and are fully booked for 75 days in a year. Built over an area of 25.48 acres, the centre comprises four modules of 4,400 m2 each of exhibition halls and support services to be built in a phased manner. In the first phase, two air-conditioned halls without pillars or columns encompassing areas of 5,000 m2 and 1,850 m2 were constructed. There are three halls, viz, Hall No. 1 (4,400 m2), Hall No. 2 (1,760 m2) and Hall No. 3 (4,400 m2). The halls feature a height of 6 m to display all merchandise including machinery. These have been supplemented recently with a modern, fully air-conditioned convention centre. All the halls are inter-linked, and Hall No. 3 is connected with the convention centre. The convention centre can accommodate 2,000 people with a provision for dividing the hall into two equal parts and has an audiovisual facility suitable for multi-purpose use such as conferences, conventions, cultural shows, and so forth. The Chennai Trade Centre is managed by Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organisation (TNTPO), a joint venture of ITPO and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
Hyatt Regency Chennai is an 18-storey five-star luxury hotel located on Anna Salai at Teynampet in Chennai, India. Designed in 1986, the construction of the hotel started in the 1990s. However, the completion was delayed for nearly two decades and the hotel was opened on 10 August 2011 at a cost of ₹5.50 billion. Built on 18,510 square metres (199,200 sq ft) of land, it is the first Hyatt hotel in South India and has 327 rooms.
Hilton Chennai is a five-star luxury hotel located on Jawaharlal Nehru Road at Guindy, Chennai, India. It is located next to the Olympia Technology Park and close to the Kathipara Junction. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style with an initial investment of ₹ 4,000 million, it is Hilton's fourth Indian property after Hilton (Janakpuri), Hilton Garden Inn (Saket), both in New Delhi, and Hilton Mumbai International Airport. and was inaugurated by Indian Overseas Bank Chairman and Managing Director M. Narendra on 28 February 2011.
The Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Cathedral Road, Chennai is a five-star hotel located in Chennai, India. Opened in 1975, it was one of the first five-star hotels in the city, known as Madras at the time. The hotel closed on 1 March 2023 for major renovations.
Chennai General Post Office (GPO) is located on Rajaji Salai at Parry's Corner, Chennai. It functions in a building built in 1884. It is located opposite to the Chennai Beach suburban railway station. Chennai GPO covers an area of about 23.33 km2 (9.01 sq mi) and serves a population of around 220,000. Initially planned to open in 2005, the project was delayed due to lack of funds and regulatory issues.
Bergamo is a shopping mall located in Nungambakkam, Chennai, India. It is located on Khader Nawaz Khan Road and has a gross leasable area of 30,000 sq ft (2,800 m2). The mall opened in August 2012 with Louis Vuitton as its first store. The mall is designed by DSP architects and built by KKA Buildtech at a cost of ₹10 Crore. It is considered to be the first luxury mall in Chennai, and the third in India. The building is designed to house 24 stores, each with an area ranging from 1600 sq. ft to 2000 sq. ft. Fun Republic Mall is a shopping mall in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, India. This shopping mall was inaugurated on 19 August 2012 and Managed by E-city Ventures which is part of the Essel Group. It is located on the arterial Avinashi Road on a 3.5-acre site. The mall has 6 levels with a total area of 3.25 lakh sq.ft. Shoppers Stop is its anchor store and occupies over 79,000 sq. ft. The mall also features a five screen multiplex operated by Cinépolis theatre with a capacity of 1,119 seats, and a McDonald's restaurant spread over 3,470 sq. ft on two floors in addition to its food court.
Chennai remains the chief retail industry and shopping centre in South India, with some of its suburbs serving as exclusive shopping districts. Since the formation of the city in the seventeenth century, George Town remains one of the chief commercial neighbourhood of the city. However, with the centuries passing, the central business district of the city started shifting towards the south of Fort St. George and moving to its present location at Gemini Circle. The city's retail industry is concentrated chiefly in T. Nagar, which is by far the largest shopping district of India, generating more than twice the revenue of Connaught Place in New Delhi or Linking Road in Mumbai, even by conservative estimates.
The Brigade World Trade Center, Chennai is a 28-storeyed commercial and residential centre in Chennai, India. Located at Perungudi, it was made operational in March 2020. The centre consists of 170,000 square metres (1,800,000 sq ft) of office space. The complex also includes a conference/exhibition centre. The towers are IGBC LEED Platinum and USGBC LEED Gold certified. The centre is a member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA). The Tower A of the WTC complex is the tallest commercial establishment in the city.
