Kozhikode, also known in English as Calicut, is a city along the Malabar Coast in the state of Kerala in India. It has a corporation limit population of 609,224 and a metropolitan population of more than 2 million, making it the second largest metropolitan area in Kerala and the 19th largest in India. Kozhikode is classified as a Tier 2 city by the Government of India.
Kochi, also known by its former name Cochin, is a major port city along the Malabar Coast of India bordering the Laccadive Sea. It is part of the district of Ernakulam in the state of Kerala. The city is also commonly referred to as Ernakulam. As of 2011, the Kochi Municipal Corporation had a population of 677,381 within an area of 94.88 km2, and the larger Kochi urban agglomeration had a total population of more than of 2.1 million within an area of 440 km2, making it the largest and the most populous metropolitan area in Kerala. Virugambakkam is a residential neighbourhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is an important residential area of and is famous for its schools, market, residential colonies and residences of film artists. Virugambakkam had some of Chennai's oldest film studios.

Nucleus Mall is a mall in Kochi, Kerala and is located in the developing suburban of Maradu, near to Thripunithura and around 8 km (5.0 mi) from the city centre. The mall is constructed and managed by ABAD Builders, a prominent builder of villas and apartments based in Kochi. The mall has a total built-up area of 2.3 lakh sqft, including 1.25 lakh gross leasable (retail) space. The mall was opened with much gala on 5 November 2010 and is spread over 3 floors. The Mall is India's first LEED certified gold rated green mall. Nucleus Mall has won Realty Plus Excellence Award for 2012 in the category of environment-friendly commercial project of the year in South India.
Hilite Mall is a shopping mall located in the city of Kozhikode in the Malabar region of Kerala.The shopping mall covers a total built-up area of 1,260,000 sq ft (117,000 m2) with 810,000 sq ft (75,000 m2) of retail space. HiLITE Mall is being constructed as a part of the HiLITE City which has 3,200,000 sq ft (300,000 m2) in first phase and 10,000,000 sq ft (930,000 m2) in the second phase, an integrated township project from HiLITE Builders. The mall location is close to the IT Parks. The mall is being constructed in two phases, phase 1 is complete and phase 2 is under construction. Phase 2 will include an eight screen multiplex cinema and NESTO Hypermarket chain. There are brand outlets, a food court, supermarkets, department stores and entertainment.
BM Habitat Mall is a shopping mall in the Indian city of Mysore, Karnataka. It is located behind the BM hospital in Jayalakshmipuram.
Spectrum Mall is a shopping mall located in Perambur, Chennai, India. It is the first mall in North Chennai. The mall was developed at the site of erstwhile Venus theater on Paper Mills Road in Perambur. The mall is spread over an area of 160,000 square feet with two levels of retail shopping and a five screen multiplex. It has two levels of basement parking with capacity of 200 cars and 800 two wheelers. The mall is developed and promoted by Ganga Foundations. The mall has Big Bazaar as its anchor store The mall was soft launched in September 2011 as Grand Venus Mall. It was rebranded as Spectrum mall and was officially launched in September 2012 along with its multiplex S2 Cinemas.
Mayajaal is an entertainment centre in Kanathur, Chennai, India. It is located on the East Coast Road and spread over an area of 30 acres. It consists of a shopping mall, a multiplex, a sports complex and a resort. Mayajaal has a sixteen screen multiplex and it is the second largest multiplex in Asia. The sports complex was started in 2003, which also hosted the Indian Cricket League matches. The Resort was opened in 2005 with 40 rooms. The 30,000 sq.ft shopping mall was opened in 2006.
Fun Republic Mall is a shopping mall in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, India. This shopping mall was inaugurated on 19 August 2012 and Managed by E-city Ventures which is part of the Essel Group. It is located on the arterial Avinashi Road on a 3.5-acre site. The mall has 6 levels with a total area of 3.25 lakh sq.ft. Shoppers Stop is its anchor store and occupies over 79,000 sq. ft. The mall also features a five screen multiplex operated by Cinépolis theatre with a capacity of 1,119 seats, and a McDonald's restaurant spread over 3,470 sq. ft on two floors in addition to its food court.

Taurus Zentrum is a shopping mall under construction in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. The mall is owned and managed by Taurus Investment Holdings. Upon completion, it would be one of the largest malls in the country with a total built up area of 1,200,000 square feet (110,000 m2). The Mall is designed by the international architectural firm, Benoy. The shopping mall is located near National Highway 66 at Technopark Phase III. The mall will have Kerala's largest multiplex and first Megaplex with 15 screens by Cinépolis. The mall will also have both IMAX and 4DX screens.
South Malabar refers to a geographical area of the southwestern coast of India covering some parts of the present-day Kerala. South Malabar covers the regions included in present-day Kozhikode taluk of Kozhikode district, the whole area of Malappuram district, Chavakkad taluk of Thrissur district, and Palakkad district, excluding parts of Chittur taluk. The Fort Kochi region of Kochi city also historically belongs to South Malabar. The term South Malabar refers to the region of the erstwhile Malabar District south to the river Korapuzha, and bears a high cultural similarity to both the Cochin and the North Malabar region.
