Dubailand was an entertainment complex planned to be built in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which was owned by Tatweer. When announced in 2003 it was one of the most ambitious leisure developments ever proposed anywhere in the world costing $64.3 billion. The development was put on hold in 2008, due to the 2007–2008 financial crisis, Great Recession, and the Dubai housing crash in 2009, but resumed in mid-2013. Updates in 2013 showed that $55 billion had been raised towards the works.
Mall of the Emirates is a shopping mall in Dubai. Developed and owned by Majid Al Futtaim Group, it opened in November 2005 and is located at interchange four on Sheikh Zayed Road.

PVR INOX Limited is an Indian multiplex chain. It was formed in 2023 as a result of the merger between PVR Cinemas and INOX Leisure Limited. PVR pioneered the multiplex revolution in India by establishing the first multiplex cinema in 1997 at Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. In 2022, PVR Cinemas achieved the milestone of completing 25 years in the business. As of December 2024, PVR INOX operates 1,749 screens across 355 properties in 111 cities, including locations in India and Sri Lanka.

Sometimes, an existing venue undergoes a renovation where the existing auditoriums are split into smaller ones, or more auditoriums are added in an extension or expansion of the building. The largest of these complexes can sit thousands of people and are sometimes referred to as a megaplex.

Forum Mall also known as Forum Courtyard is a shopping mall located in Bhowanipore, South Kolkata, India. It was initially conceived as an office tower. 80% of the foundation was complete before it was converted into a mall. Currently it has a built-up area of 200,000 square feet, of which 125,000 square feet is the gross leasable (retail) area. It was opened to the public with the sole intention of launching Shoppers' Stop in Kolkata for the first time, in 2003. Its opening was credited with turning its neighbourhood from a quiet residential area into an upmarket shopping destination. It has been noted for its excellent layout and signage. The mall is constructed and owned by Rahul Saraf, Chairman of SAPL. The Mall also has a branch in Bhubaneswar named Forum Mart and has a new addition in Belur area of Howrah as Forum Rangoli Mall.
LuLu Mall, Kochi is a shopping mall located in Edappally, Kochi, Kerala. It is one of the largest shopping malls in the country spanning over 1.5 million square feet It contains more than 300 outlets, including food courts, restaurants, family entertainment zones, a multiplex, ice skating rink, gaming arena, beauty parlors, toy train ride and bowling alley. The mall was opened in March 2013 by then Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Oommen Chandy.

The mall was developed at the site of erstwhile Venus theater on Paper Mills Road in Perambur. The mall is spread over an area of 160,000 square feet with two levels of retail shopping and a five screen multiplex. It has two levels of basement parking with capacity of 200 cars and 800 two wheelers. The mall is developed and promoted by Ganga Foundations. The mall has Big Bazaar as its anchor store The mall was soft launched in September 2011 as Grand Venus Mall. It was rebranded as Spectrum mall and was officially launched in September 2012 along with its multiplex S2 Cinemas.
Fun Republic Mall is a shopping mall in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, India. This shopping mall was inaugurated on 19 August 2012 and Managed by E-city Ventures which is part of the Essel Group. It is located on the arterial Avinashi Road on a 3.5-acre site, with 6 levels and a total area of 3.25 lakh sq.ft. Shoppers Stop is its anchor store and occupies over 79,000 sq. ft. The mall also features a five screen multiplex operated by Cinépolis theatre with a capacity of 1,119 seats, and a McDonald's restaurant spread over 3,470 sq. ft on two floors in addition to its food court.
RP Mall is a shopping mall located at Kozhikode, India. The mall contains a multiplex in its second and third floor. The multiplex has six screens spread over an area of 25,000 sq.ft has a total capacity of 610 seats. The multiplex contains five public screens and a spa theatre for private screening. Two of the screens also has 3D facility. The mall has a multicusine food court and children play area. It is the first multiplex in the city of Kozhikode. The multiplex is named as PVS Film City.
SPI Cinemas was an Indian multiplex chain originally owned by the SPI Group, headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The company was often lauded for its premium quality and inexpensive pricing. Its theatres, primarily PVR Sathyam Cinemas at Royapettah are often used by filmmakers for film premieres and audio launch events. Popcorn served at SPI Cinemas had received considerable praise from film goers and the media. In August 2018, PVR Cinemas completed the acquisition of SPI Cinemas.
