Ramanujan IT City is an information technology (IT) special economic zone (SEZ) situated in Chennai, India. Named after the Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, it is a joint venture of Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited (TRIL), Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). Situated next to the Tidel Park, it is being developed in a land measuring 25 acres with two zones with a total built-up area of 5.7 million sq ft. [2] including 4.5 million sq ft of office space.

The initial works comprising demolition of existing buildings, site clearing and commencement of bulk excavation and piling works began in December 2008 by Leighton India. Construction on the new building structure commenced in June 2009. [2]
The project is located on a 25-acre site situated along the Old Mamallapuram Road opposite the Thiruvanmiyur MRTS Railway Station, north of the Taramani IT corridor where the majority of the city's IT sector is housed. The project is being developed at a cost of ₹ 35,000 million [3] within a special economic zone and comprises two distinct elements, namely, a processing zone and a non-processing zone.
The processing zone is the IT portion of the development consisting of four office buildings of approximately 60 m in height. The buildings are arranged around central courtyards located at ground and at the podium level. The courtyards serve as the centre of activity for the IT complex, providing links between the various amenity functions.
The buildings are being built in 6 blocks with five levels of car parking, including three levels of basement car parking along with additional multi-level car parking, and 13 floors, with a total area of 4.5 million sq ft. The towers are named Hardy Tower, Carr Tower, Neville Tower, Cambridge Tower and Littlewood Tower, in the memories of G. H. Hardy, G. S. Carr, Eric Harold Neville and John Edensor Littlewood respectively. The project has obtained Green Building certification (as per LEED Gold Guidelines—Pre-certified) and IMS certification. Utility buildings are also being constructed to support the IT facilities. The buildings have 8-m-high entrance lobbies, and each floor has floor-plates ranging from 50,000 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft in various blocks, with a floor-to-floor height of 3.75 m.
The non-processing zone consists of a mixed-use development consisting of a convention centre, retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment facilities along with below-ground car parking.

Chennai Trade Centre is a permanent exhibition complex in Nandambakkam, Chennai, hosting several trade fairs and conventions round the year. It is the first fair infrastructure that has been developed by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO)—the premier trade promotion agency of the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry—outside Delhi. A joint initiative of the ITPO and the Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organisation, which hold 51 and 49 percent stakes, respectively, the Trade Centre was designed by C R Narayan Rao, and was commissioned in January 2001, while the convention centre was commissioned on 1 November 2004. The exhibition hall was constructed at an estimated cost of ₹ 23 crore and the convention centre at a cost of ₹ 22 crore. Together, these centres cover 10,560 sq m and are fully booked for 75 days in a year. Built over an area of 25.48 acres, the centre comprises four modules of 4,400 m2 each of exhibition halls and support services to be built in a phased manner. In the first phase, two air-conditioned halls without pillars or columns encompassing areas of 5,000 m2 and 1,850 m2 were constructed. There are three halls, viz, Hall No. 1 (4,400 m2), Hall No. 2 (1,760 m2) and Hall No. 3 (4,400 m2). The halls feature a height of 6 m to display all merchandise including machinery. These have been supplemented recently with a modern, fully air-conditioned convention centre. All the halls are inter-linked, and Hall No. 3 is connected with the convention centre. The convention centre can accommodate 2,000 people with a provision for dividing the hall into two equal parts and has an audiovisual facility suitable for multi-purpose use such as conferences, conventions, cultural shows, and so forth. The Chennai Trade Centre is managed by Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organisation (TNTPO), a joint venture of ITPO and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).

Software exports from Tamil Nadu during 2017–2018 rose 8.8% per cent to touch 1,11,179 crore, involving a workforce of 780,000, and the city is the hub for deep tech startup companies. The Tidel Park in Chennai was billed as Asia's largest IT park when it was built. Major software companies have their offices set up here, with some of them making Chennai their largest base. Chennai is the largest hub for e-publishing, as there are 67 e-publishing units registered with the STPI and many Rs.8300-Cr data centers, digital hubs are in the process of development. A major reason for the growth of the Software industry are the top engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, of which Chennai is a major contributor, have been a major recruiting hub for the IT firms. According to estimates, these engineering colleges and universities consistently generate about 50 per cent of the human resource requirements for the IT and ITES industry was being sourced from the state, particularly from Chennai. The total employment in the Tamil Nadu’s technology sector crossed the one million mark in the quarter ended June 2022.
Tamil Nadu Government Multi-Super-Speciality Hospital is a 400-bed government-owned super-speciality hospital in Chennai, India. It is located at the Omandurar Government Estate on Anna Salai and was opened in February 2014. Originally built as Tamil Nadu legislative assembly and secretariat complex in 2010 to house the assembly hall, secretariat and offices of the chief minister and cabinet ministers, the complex was later converted into a super-speciality hospital.
