The Padi Lucas Junction is the intersection of NH 205 (Madras-Tiruvallur High Road) and Inner Ring Road in the city of Chennai and is one of the most important junctions in the city. It is located in Anna Nagar north of Koyambedu Junction. An elevated rotary has been constructed at this junction as part of the NHDP by NHAI to ease the traffic congestion. It was built at a cost of ₹ 1,300 million and was opened for traffic on 20 February 2009. [1]
The junction is used by hundreds of heavy vehicles and the road has a traffic density of about 200,000 passenger car units daily. [2] As of 2014, more than 70,000 vehicles use the Padi flyover every day. [3] To ease the congestion, the NHAI has constructed an elevated four-lane rotary at the junction. Work on the project began in 2005 and completed in 2009.

Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) is a bus terminus located in Chennai, India, providing inter-state bus transport services. It is located on the 100 feet (30 m) inner-ring road in Koyambedu between SAF Games Village and the Koyambedu Vegetable Market. It is the largest bus terminus in Asia. It is also the second biggest bus depot in India, after the Millennium Park Bus Depot in Delhi. Chennai Metro Rail operates a coach depot behind the bus terminus since 2015.
Anna Nagar, is a neighbourhood in the metropolitan city of Chennai, India. Named after former chief minister of Tamil Nadu C. N. Annadurai, it is located in the north-western part of Chennai and forms a part of the Aminjikarai taluk and the Anna Nagar Zone. Anna Flyover, also known as Gemini Flyover, is a dual-armed grade separator in the central business district of Chennai, India. Built in 1973 and dubbed one of the top-rated flyovers in the country, it is Asia's First Grade Separator, the first flyover in Chennai and the third Flyover in India, after the ones at Kemps Corner and Marine Drive in Mumbai. It was the longest flyover in the country when it was built. Its main purpose is to allow traffic movement on Mount Road—now renamed Anna Salai—near Nungambakkam High Road to continue unhindered by the cross traffic. The presence of the Gemini Studios, which was demolished later, resulted in the flyover coming to be known as Gemini Flyover and the area being referred to as the Gemini Circle.
Kathipara Junction is an important road junction in Chennai, India. It is located at Alandur at the intersection of the Grand Southern Trunk Road, Inner Ring Road, Anna Salai and Mount-Poonamallee Road. Kathipara flyover is the largest cloverleaf flyover in South Asia.
Koyambedu Junction, also called the Koyambedu Roundtana, is an important road junction in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Chennai BRTS was a bus rapid transit system taken up as an integrated part of Circular Corridor Project in India. Beginning at Adyar, the route will cover Saidapet, Jafferkanpet, Ramavaram, Puzhal, Manali, Chennai Central Railway Station, Lighthouse and will return to Adyar. The corridor will cover a distance of 70.3 kilometres (43.7 mi). The route of the elevated BRTS corridor was planned to run along the banks of Adyar river and Buckingham canal. The Chennai Port – Maduravoyal Expressway is a 20.6-kilometre (12.8 mi) long, six lane, double-decker elevated expressway under construction in the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Chennai High Speed Circular Transportation Corridors (HSCTC) is an urban road transit in the form of elevated concentric beltways planned for the city of Chennai. The Inner Ring Road (IRR), also known as Jawaharlal Nehru Salai or 100-Feet road or State Highway 2, is a major transportation corridor encircling the city of Chennai. Padi railway station is one of the two, now defunct, railway stations of the extended southern arm of the Chennai Central–Arakkonam section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network, the other one being Anna Nagar railway station. Chennai–Thiruvallur High Road, formerly known as Madras–Thiruvallur High Road, is one of the chief routes connecting the northwestern suburbs of Chennai, India. Starting from Padi Junction, the road connects the neighbourhoods of Padi, Ambattur, Thirumullaivoyil, Avadi, Pattabiram, Thirunindravur, and Thiruvallur. Chennai is home to the second largest vehicular population in India, behind New Delhi. The total road network in the city's metropolitan area is 2,780 km. With Chennai's vehicular population having experienced a surge in the late 1990s, several flyovers were built to reduce the traffic congestion in the city. Of about ₹ 15,600 million invested by the state government between 2005 and 2014, Chennai cornered a major chunk of the investment. As of 2014, there were 22 functional flyovers in the city and about 30 bridges, catering to the city's vehicular population of about 3.9 million, including about 600,000 cars. In addition, more than 36 flyovers are in the pipeline.
The Avinashi Road Elevated Expressway is a 10.01-kilometre-long (6.22 mi), four-lane, elevated expressway under construction in the city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The corridor begins near the Uppilipalayam Flyover and ends near the Goldwins junction over the Avinashi Road, the most important arterial road in the city, bypassing over 12 traffic intersections. Upon completion, this would be the longest elevated corridor in Tamil Nadu, and the second longest in India after the P. V. Narasimha Rao Expressway.
