The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial is a memorial to Indian prime minister Rajiv Gandhi at the site where he was assassinated at Sriperumbudur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu India.

Designed by K T Ravindran, it was built by the Central Public Works Department and was opened up in 2003 by Gandhi's widow Sonia Gandhi and former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam. [1] [2]
Rajiv Ratna Gandhi was an Indian politician who served as the sixth prime minister of India from 1984 to 1989. He took office after the 1984 assassination of his mother, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, to become the youngest Indian Prime minister at the age of 40.

She returned to the post in 2019 after her son, Rahul Gandhi, resigned.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is an Indian politician and the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee in charge of Uttar Pradesh. She is the daughter of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, sister of Rahul Gandhi, and granddaughter of Feroze and Indira Gandhi, making her a member of the politically prominent Nehru-Gandhi family. Sriperumbudur is a town panchayat in the Kanchipuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 40 kilometers southwest of the capital city of Chennai on the National Highway 4 and is just outside the Chennai Metropolitan Area and part of the Chennai suburban area. It is a fast emerging neighbourhood of Chennai. Since 2000, Sriperumbudur has seen rapid industrialisation. It is known for being the birthplace of Sri Ramanuja, one of the most prominent Hindu Vaishnava saints. The former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated here in 1991.

Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, India. Originally it was the name of a historic ghat of Old Delhi (Shahjahanabad). Close to it, and east of Daryaganj was Raj Ghat Gate of the walled city, opening at Raj Ghat to the west bank of the Yamuna River. Later the memorial area was also called Raj Ghat. It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi's cremation, Antyeshti on 31 January 1948, a day after his assassination. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns at one end. Located on Delhi's Ring Road, officially known as Mahatma Gandhi Road, a stone footpath flanked by lawns leads to the walled enclosure that houses the memorial. The materials used in the memorial, especially in the recesses, raise a few questions about the nature of Gandhian architecture in India. There is a difference between the architecture of Rajghat and a Gandhian low-cost housing architecture. Unlike the hard material faces of some portions of Rajghat, a Gandhian low-cost housing architecture has a decidedly perishable character. In this sense the event of the construction of the Rajghat Memorial belongs within a more hard-modernist Gandhian architectural history in India, distinctly removed from a Gandhian low-cost architectural history of perishable materials.
The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is a cricket stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Located in the eastern suburb of Uppal, it has a capacity of 40,000 and extends across 16 acres (65,000 m2) of land. It serves as the home ground for the Hyderabad Cricket Association and the Indian Premier League team Sunrisers Hyderabad. As of 3 March 2019, it has hosted 5 Tests, 6 ODIs and 2 T20Is. At the time of Rajiv Gandhi's assassination in 1991, while he was campaigning for a second term as Prime Minister of India, 10, Janpath was his official residence, although he lived at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg while he was Prime Minister. 10, Janpath remains the residence of his widow Sonia Gandhi, who is currently Interim President of Indian National Congress party. The national headquarters of Indian National Congress (INC) is right behind it on 24, Akbar Road. It was the residence of India's second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri (1964–1966) and where his body lay in state on 11 January 1966. Today his biographical museum, Lal Bhadur Shastri Memorial is situated at 1, Motilal Nehru Place, adjacent to the complex.
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is an international airport that serves Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana. It is located in Shamshabad, about 24 kilometres (15 mi) south of Hyderabad. It was opened on 23 March 2008 to replace Begumpet Airport, which was the sole civilian airport serving Hyderabad. It is named after Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. It has also ranked in AirHelp's list of top 10 airports in the world. In FY-2021, for the first time, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport overtook Chennai to become the fourth busiest airport in India by passengers traffic. The assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, occurred as a result of a suicide bombing in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, India on 21 May 1991. At least 14 others, in addition to Rajiv Gandhi, were killed. It was carried out by Thenmozhi Rajaratnam, a member of the Sri Lankan Tamil separatist organization Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) along with Dr. Jagjit Singh Chohan of the National Council of Khalistan (NCK) and Gurjant Singh Budhsinghwala of the Khalistan Liberation Force. At the time, India had just ended its involvement, through the Indian Peace Keeping Force, in the Sri Lankan Civil War. Subsequent accusations of conspiracy have been addressed by two commissions of inquiry and have brought down at least one national government.

In May 2018, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed that Afghanistan would host Bangladesh in June 2018; this was the first international fixture at the stadium. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is India's 21st venue to host T20 internationals, and the 51st Indian international cricket venue.

The Wall of Truth is a memorial in New Delhi, India, for Sikhs killed during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The memorial is located in Lutyens' Delhi at the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib complex near the Parliament of India. The foundation stone was laid in June 2013, the construction work began in November 2014 and the memorial was inaugurated on 15 January 2017. The monument complex is also known as the 'Sikh Genocide Memorial'. It has been built under the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.
