Chepauk is a locality in Chennai, India. The name Chepauk is popularly used to refer to the M. A. Chidambaram International Cricket Stadium, also known as the Chepauk Stadium. It is also home to the Chepauk Palace, built in the Indo-Saracenic style. The University of Madras campus is yet another prominent landmark of Chepauk. The Central Research laboratory is located here. Chepauk's postal index number (PIN) code is 600005. The main roads of Chepauk are Bells Road and Walajah Road.

The Tamil Nadu legislative assembly-secretariat complex was built up at Omandurar Government Estate, also situated on the periphery of Chepauk, which was later converted into a vast multi-speciality government hospital. The Chennai MRTS railway passes through Chepauk and the Chepauk MRTS station is located adjacent to the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.
The English name "Chepauk" is said to be derived from the Hindustani word "Che Baagh", meaning "six gardens". [1]
It is a part of Chepauk-Triplicane assembly constituency which in turn a part of Chennai Central (Lok Sabha constituency). [2]

M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, commonly known as the Chepauk, is a cricket stadium in Chepauk, Chennai. It is named after former BCCI president M. A. Chidambaram, and is operated by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. It was established in 1916 and is the second oldest international cricket stadium in the country that is still in use after the Eden Gardens.

Egmore is a neighbourhood of Chennai, India. Situated on the northern banks of the Coovum River, Egmore is an important residential area as well as a commercial and transportation hub. Chepauk is a station on the Chennai MRTS railway line. It is located in the eastern Chennai neighbourhood of Chepauk near the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium. The station is built on the bank of Buckingham Canal. The station was opened in November 1995 as a part of the first phase, when services were operated from Chennai Beach station to Chepauk. As it is adjacent to the government offices in the area, such as Kuralagam and Doordarshan, the station sees many commuters who work in these offices.
Tamil Nadu Government Multi-Super-Speciality Hospital is a 400-bed government-owned super-speciality hospital in Chennai, India. It is located at the Omandurar Government Estate on Anna Salai and was opened in February 2014. Originally built as Tamil Nadu legislative assembly and secretariat complex in 2010 to house the assembly hall, secretariat and offices of the chief minister and cabinet ministers, the complex was later converted into a super-speciality hospital. It was built in 1.93 million sq ft. at a total cost of ₹ 4,250 million in 2010.
Wallajah Road in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India branches off from Anna Salai. It is one of the major link roads in Chennai, connecting Anna Salai and Rajaji Salai, Chennai.
