Techofes is an annual intercollegiate culture festival at the College of Engineering, Guindy in Chennai, India. The tradition began in 1948. It is a three-day event usually held in mid-February.

Yuvan Shankar Raja Indian composer and singer-songwriter

Abdul Khaliq, born as Yuvan Shankar Raja is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer and singer-songwriter. He mainly scores music for Tamil films. Considered a versatile composer, he is particularly known for his use of Western music elements and often credited with having introduced hip hop to the Tamil film and music industry and started the "era of remixes" in Tamil Nadu. Yuvan has won two Filmfare Awards, five Mirchi Music Awards, four Vijay Awards and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Festember is the annual cultural festival of the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT). It is a 4-day event held annually in the third week of September. Founded by NITT students in 1975, Festember has now become one of the largest festivals in South India. What started off as a zero budget fest, grew rapidly with the help of sponsorships and collaborations. It now boasts an annual participant strength of more than 15,000 students from over 500 colleges across India.

Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, known professionally as Dhanush, is an Indian actor, producer, director, lyricist and playback singer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Starring in 46 films over his career, among Dhanush's awards include 13 SIIMA Awards, nine Vijay Awards, seven Filmfare Awards South, five Vikatan Awards, five Edison Awards, four National Film Awards, and a Filmfare Award. He has been included in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list six times, which is based on the earnings of Indian celebrities.

Aadukalam is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Vetrimaran, who also co-wrote the screenplay and dialogues with Vikram Sugumaran. Produced by Five Star Kathiresan and distributed by Sun Pictures, the film stars Dhanush and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles, the latter in her film debut, with Kishore, V. I. S. Jayapalan, Naren, and Murugadoss play supporting roles. G. V. Prakash Kumar composed the film score and soundtrack, whilst Velraj and Kishore Te. handled the cinematography and editing. The film was released on 14 January 2011 to positive critical feedback. The film won six awards at the 58th National Film Awards, including Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor. The film was also felicitated with five awards in 59th Filmfare Awards South – Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Music Director and Best Cinematography. Based on an online poll by The Times of India, Vetrimaran was chosen as the best director for Aadukalam.

Vetrimaaran is an Indian film director, screenwriter and film producer, who works in the Tamil film industry. As of 2021, he has won five National Film Awards, eight Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards, two Filmfare South Awards and the Amnesty International Italia Award from 72nd Venice Film Festival.

Aruna Sairam Musical artist

Sangeetha Kalanidhi Aruna Sairam is an Indian classical vocalist and top carnatic music singer. She is a recipient of the Padma Shri award from the Government of India and has been elected as Vice Chairman of the Sangeet Natak Academy by the Government of India. In 2011, Aruna was the first Karnatic musician to perform at the BBC proms in London. She is also the first Carnatic musician to perform in Oud Festival of Israel (Jerusalem).

Unmaad is the annual cultural festival presented by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Conducted over a period of three days, Unmaad includes events like dramatics, music performances, dances, quizzes, debates, street plays, professional concerts and fashion show. The event has hosted performances by artists such as Amit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Farhan Akhtar, Raghu Dixit, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Zakir Khan, KK, Kailash Kher, Lucky Ali, Strings, Jethro Tull and Indian Ocean.

3 is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language romantic psychological thriller film written and directed by Aishwarya R. The film follows Ram(Dhanush) and Janani, two high school sweethearts who eventually get married. 11th Chennai International Film Festival

The 11th Chennai International Film Festival took place in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India from 12 to 19 December 2013. The event was organised by the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF) with support from the Government of Tamil Nadu. The festival was curated by actress-director Suhasini Maniratnam and inaugurated by Kamal Haasan and Aamir Khan. The Japanese drama Like Father, Like Son marked the beginning of the fest.

The film stars Dhanush in the lead role with Raashi Khanna, Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja in supporting roles. The film's music and score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography handled by Om Prakash and editing done by Prasanna GK.
