Basin Bridge Junction is a station on the Chennai Suburban Railway and serves the locality of Pulianthope & Moolakothalam, the confluence on the Otteri Nullah and Buckingham Canal, in Chennai, India. The station is located at the southern end of the 'diamond' junction in Chennai, where all the lines of the Chennai Suburban Railway meet. It is the first station after Chennai Central. At this station, the line divides into three: one going towards Avadi and Arakkonam, the other towards Ennore and Gummidipoondi, and the third towards Chennai Beach and Chennai Egmore. Thus, the station acts as the entry point to Chennai Central terminus where inbound trains from all the three lines are stopped before assigning a platform at Chennai Central. It also contains a railway maintenance shed with 19 pit-lines, each measuring 3-ft deep to accommodate about 24 coaches. The station has an elevation of 7 m above sea level.

Perambur Flyover Park, officially known as Murasoli Maran Flyover Park, is an urban park in the neighbourhood of Perambur, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Chennai Corporation has started earmarking area in parks and public spaces for development of the next phase of Metro stations in various parts of the city. Greenery in the Murasoli Maran Park in Perambur, is expected to be reduced because of the second phase. Families are increasingly flocking to facilities such as the Murasoli Maran Park near Perambur flyover. For over years, the sprawling Murasoli Maran Park at Perambur was a centre of attraction, especially for the kids. The lockdown and poor maintenance have however adversely affected the footfall in the park. This is one of the biggest parks in the locality. But the local body is not taking interest in maintaining it.

Pulianthope was initially known as "Medicine Warehouse" for Englishmen, so it was called "Marunthukedangu" and now it has changed to Pulianthope. From the days of Englishmen this place was very developed area in North Chennai. Also, it was surrounded with "Binny Mills" which was the biggest garment export factory, Basin bridge railway station, Chennai's biggest cattle slaughter house and meat supplier hub called "Aadudhotti".

Kellys, is a sub locality of Kilpauk, and it is an important road junction in Central Chennai. Its too distinct to be addressed as a part of Kilpauk by the locals and hence they simply refer to the area as Kellys. It is proposed to implement phase II of Metro railway projects from Madhavaram to SIPCOT in Siruseri, which is corridor number 3. The route includes the areas of Madhavaram Milk Colony, Thapal petti, Murari Hospital, Moolakadai, Sembiyam, Perambur Market, Perambur Metro, Ayanavaram, Otteri, Pattalam, Perambur Barracks Road, Doveton Junction, Purasawakkam High Road and Kellys. From Kellys to Siruseri via. Chetpet, the route continues. In this corridor, comes Kellys, through which tunnelling works are to be carried out. For this, Tunnel Boring Machines from China, are to be used. The Metro railway projects are undertaken by L & T limited and to be completed by 52 months.

Doveton, is a neighbourhood in Purasawalkam and Vepery, and is a shopping district in Central Chennai, a metropolitan city in Tamil Nadu, India. It is the unofficial name of the neighbourhood in Purasawalkam. The area of Doveton acquired its name after Capt. John Doveton, who served as a captain commandant of the Seventh Regiment of Infantry.Capt.John Doveton is the Founder of the Doveton Group of Schools situated at no 1,Ritherdon Road, Vepery . The name Doveton originated by the presence of the Doveton group of schools in the area.
