A shopping mall is a large indoor shopping center, usually anchored by department stores. The term mall originally meant a pedestrian promenade with shops along it, but in the late 1960s, it began to be used as a generic term for the large enclosed shopping centers that were becoming increasingly commonplace. In the United Kingdom and other countries, shopping malls may be called shopping centres.

Dubailand was an entertainment complex planned to be built in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which was owned by Tatweer. When announced in 2003 it was one of the most ambitious leisure developments ever proposed anywhere in the world costing $64.3 billion. The development was put on hold in 2008, due to the 2007–2008 financial crisis, Great Recession, and the Dubai housing crash in 2009, but resumed in mid-2013. Updates in 2013 showed that $55 billion had been raised towards the works.
Southdale Center is a shopping mall located in Edina, Minnesota, a suburb of the Twin Cities. It opened in 1956 and is the first fully enclosed, climate-controlled shopping mall in the United States. Southdale Center has 1,297,608 square feet of leasable retail space, and contains 106 retail tenants. The mall is owned by Simon Property Group and the anchor stores are Macy's, Dave & Buster's, AMC Theatres, Hennepin Service Center, and Life Time Athletic.
Emporium is a luxury shopping mall in Khlong Toei District, Bangkok, Thailand. It opened in 27 July 1997. It is owned and operated by The Mall Group, who also operate the EmQuartier and Siam Paragon malls in Bangkok.
Greater Noida is a planned city located in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The city was created as an extension of the area under the UP Industrial Area Development Act, of 1976. Situated 40.2 km (25.0 mi) southeast of the Center of capital city of New Delhi, it takes around 30 minutes to travel between the cities via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The city is administered by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).
Noida Film City is a film city consisting a complex of studios and structures for filming located in Sector 16-A of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It houses the Asian Academy of Film, Television and Marwah Films and Video Studios along with prominent news channels of India. It was founded in 1988 by Sandeep Marwah, an Indian film producer, founder and chairperson of the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT). It has been the location for many Bollywood and Indian films, along with shooting television serials, news and other entertainment-cum-education programs, facilitated by satellite channels, multiplex offices, film and publication companies, radio and audio broadcasting and many other corporate offices.
Bridgewater Commons is a fully enclosed shopping mall located in Bridgewater Township, New Jersey. The mall is located at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 202/206 and borders I-287. The mall opened on February 24, 1988, as Somerset County's first and has a gross leasable area of 900,000 sq ft (84,000 m2).
The Big Chill Cafe is a chain of cafes located in New Delhi, the capital of India. The cafe is owned by Aseem Grover and Fawzia Ahmed. The cafe started out in 2000 with its first outlet in East of Kailash, an area in South Delhi, with Italian cuisine and an ice cream cafe. Presently, it has seven outlets, one in Kailash Colony market, the original East of Kaliash outlet was closed, three in Khan Market including the newly opened The Big Chill Cakery, one in DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, DLF Place, Saket, Connaught Place and one in DLF Mall of India, Noida. The newest one opened in Ardee City Mall making it the first one ever in Gurgaon. It is great competition towards other restaurants and cafes. It is a widely known restaurant all over Delhi and is famous for its grilled dishes, pasta, pizza, ice cream and cheesecakes.
The Great India Place is a shopping mall in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is popularly known as GIP Mall. It is one of the largest malls in the country. The mall features a wide selection of national and international retail outlets. This grand shopping mall also shares its boundary with Worlds of Wonder, a major Amusement Park in the city. The Great India Place, Gardens Galleria Mall, Worlds of Wonder (WOW), Kidzania and Decathlon are all part of the larger Entertainment City Limited development on 150 acre land in the most expensive commercial hub of Noida in Delhi NCR.
Saket District Centre is a commercial centre located in Pushp Vihar, New Delhi. The district centre has come up as the largest commercial and retail hub in South Delhi with numerous malls, restaurants and office buildings and plenty of parking space.
Trumbull Mall is a shopping mall located in Trumbull, Connecticut. It was the first enclosed shopping mall in Connecticut upon opening in 1964. The mall was developed by the Frogue Corporation, and was the first U.S. acquisition by Australian mall operator Westfield Group in 1977. Ownership and management were transferred to the Westfield Corporation in 2014, and to Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in 2018. It has 1,130,690 square feet (105,045 m2) of gross leasable area. In early 2023, it was sold to Namdar Realty Group. The mall features the traditional retailers Macy's, JCPenney, and Target.
LuLu Mall, Kochi is a shopping mall located in Edappally, Kochi, Kerala. Spanning 17 acres (6.9 ha) with a total built up area of 0.73 million Sq ft. It contains around 280 outlets, including food courts, restaurants, family entertainment zones, a multiplex, ice skating rink, gaming arena, beauty parlors, a toy train joy ride and bowling alley. The mall was opened in March 2013 by then Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Oommen Chandy.
Inorbit Mall is a subsidiary of K. Raheja Corporation which runs shopping malls in various parts of India. The first Inorbit Mall opened in 2004, in Malad, Mumbai. This is the fourth oldest shopping mall in Mumbai, from Infiniti Mall of Andheri, R Mall of Mulund, and Crossroads of South Mumbai. Inorbit Malls launched their second property in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, in October 2008; third in Cyberabad, Hyderabad in October 2009; fourth in Vadgaon Sheri, Pune in May 2011 which was closed down in November 2016; fifth in Whitefield, Bangalore on 15 September 2012 and sixth in Vadodara on 5 September 2013.

Lulu Mall Thiruvananthapuram is a shopping mall located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. With a total built up area of 2,000,000 sq ft (190,000 m2), it is one of the largest mall in India and biggest mall in Kerala. The shopping mall is located along the side of National Highway 66 at Aakkulam near Technopark the biggest IT park in Kerala. The mall has around 300 national and international brands and 12 anchor stores including a Lulu Hypermarket, largest indoor entertainment zone in the country, a multilevel car parking space for more than 3,800 cars. It also has a food court with a capacity for 2500 people serving various regional, international and specialty cuisines. The mall houses Kerala's only PVR Superplex having 12 screens, among them is the state's only IMAX screen by PVR cinemas. The property is owned and managed by M.A. Yusuff Ali, the chairman and managing director of LuLu Group International.
The Grand Venice Mall, also known as TGV Mall, is an Italian-themed shopping mall in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It covers 947,000 square feet and was opened in 2015. It is decorated with replicas of Roman statues and Venetian buildings, and has two canals with gondola rides for visitors.
