Robert Cary Long Jr. (1810–1849) was the son of a late 18th Century - early 19th Century famous architect Robert Cary Long Sr. of Baltimore, Maryland and was himself a well-known 19th Century architect. Like his father, Cary was based in Baltimore.

As St. James-the-Less Episcopal Church, it was designated a National Historic Landmark for its Gothic Revival architecture, which influenced a generation of subsequent churches.
St. Michael's AnglicanChurch is a historic church and the oldest surviving religious structure in Charleston, South Carolina. It is located at Broad and Meeting streets on one of the Four Corners of Law, and represents ecclesiastical law. It was built in the 1750s by order of the South Carolina Assembly. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark.
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is a historic church at 1231 Washington Boulevard in Stamford, Connecticut. Built in 1860 and consecrated on May 8, 1861, Saint Andrew's Church was originally a mission of St. John's Church Stamford until its incorporation as a parish on June 12, 1865. Saint Andrew's was the first free church in the diocese where parishioners did not have to pay a pew rental fee. St. Andrew's was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 as St. Andrew's Protestant Episcopal Church. Its church and parish hall are fine examples of Gothic architecture designed by Henry Hudson Holly.
St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church is a historic stone Episcopal church building located at 2312 J Street in the South Omaha district of Omaha, Nebraska. Built in 1899 in the Late Gothic Revival style, it was designated an Omaha Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It was the first Episcopal church established in South Omaha when the town was being developed. It is the only surviving Episcopal church in this community, which was settled chiefly by Catholic immigrants.

Potter and was built in 1867, and is a prominent local example of High Gothic Revival executed in stone. Its congregation, begun as an Episcopal mission in 1854, has recently been merged into the St. John's Episcopal Church in Vernon. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Built in 1897, it is Pocatello's oldest surviving church and was deemed significant "a rare nineteenth century example" of an Idaho church built of stone. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
St. Peter's Episcopal Church, now known as The New Saint James Holiness Church of Christ Disciples, is a historic Episcopal church in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. It is a frame, gable-roofed building with two contiguous sections: 1) the sanctuary built in 1886; 2) and the fellowship hall built in 1912. The church building is in the Gothic Revival style. The building features a small gable-roofed arched entrance door and large and small arched stained-glass windows. St. Peter's is one of six mission churches that descended from St. Paul's. St. Peter's Episcopal Church operated at this location until 1959, when it was transferred to the African-American trustees of Garretts Independent Community Church. In 1967, St. Peter's was transferred to the trustees of what come to be known as Saint James Holiness Church of Christ Disciples.

Built in 1873 for a congregation founded in the mid-18th century, it is a well-preserved design of James Renwick, Jr. and a good example of late 19th-century Gothic Revival archiecture. It was listed on the National Register in 1984.
The Heritage Hill Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located north of downtown Burlington, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The area is primarily a residential neighborhood on the hill north of the central business district. Several churches act as a buffer and provide a transition from the residential area and the commercial areas in the valley. At the time of its nomination there were 141 structures in the district. The breakdown of their uses at that time included: 113 residences, 10 churches or religious use facilities, 7 public or government buildings, and 11 commercial structures. The district also includes North Hill Park, which has been in continuous use since the city was founded in 1836 and is one of the two oldest city parks in Burlington.
