Steatocystoma simplex is a skin condition characterized by a skin lesion that occurs with equal frequency in adult women and men, and is typically found on the face, trunk, or extremities. [1] :679 It is related to Steatocystoma multiplex. [2]

Multiplexer

In electronics, a multiplexer, also known as a data selector, is a device that selects between several analog or digital input signals and forwards the selected input to a single output line. The selection is directed a separate set of digital inputs known as select lines. A multiplexer of inputs has select lines, which are used to select which input line to send to the output.

Multiplexing Method of combining multiple signals into one signal over a shared medium

In telecommunications and computer networks, multiplexing is a method by which multiple analog or digital signals are combined into one signal over a shared medium. The aim is to share a scarce resource. For example, in telecommunications, several telephone calls may be carried using one wire. Multiplexing originated in telegraphy in the 1870s, and is now widely applied in communications. In telephony, George Owen Squier is credited with the development of telephone carrier multiplexing in 1910.

Time-division multiplexing multiplexing technique for digital signals

Time-division multiplexing (TDM) is a method of transmitting and receiving independent signals over a common signal path by means of synchronized switches at each end of the transmission line so that each signal appears on the line only a fraction of time in an alternating pattern. This method transmits two or more digital signals or analog signals over a common channel. It can be used when the bit rate of the transmission medium exceeds that of the signal to be transmitted. This form of signal multiplexing was developed in telecommunications for telegraphy systems in the late 19th century, but found its most common application in digital telephony in the second half of the 20th century.

Frequency-division multiplexing multiplexing dividing a communications medium into non-overlapping frequency bands, each carrying a separate signal

In telecommunications, frequency-division multiplexing (FDM) is a technique by which the total bandwidth available in a communication medium is divided into a series of non-overlapping frequency bands, each of which is used to carry a separate signal. This allows a single transmission medium such as a cable or optical fiber to be shared by multiple independent signals. Another use is to carry separate serial bits or segments of a higher rate signal in parallel.

Barrel shifter

A barrel shifter is a digital circuit that can shift a data word by a specified number of bits without the use of any sequential logic, only pure combinational logic. One way to implement it is as a sequence of multiplexers where the output of one multiplexer is connected to the input of the next multiplexer in a way that depends on the shift distance. A barrel shifter is often used to shift and rotate n-bits in modern microprocessors, typically within a single clock cycle.

Keratin 17

Keratin, type I cytoskeletal 17 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KRT17 gene.

Arthrogryposis

Arthrogryposis, describes congenital joint contracture in two or more areas of the body. It derives its name from Greek, literally meaning "curving of joints".

Magic (UK radio station) Adult contemporary radio station in London

Magic Radio is a national digital radio station based in London owned and operated by Bauer Radio. Magic Radio forms part of Bauer's National portfolio of radio brands. The station is available on 105.4 FM in London and across the UK on Digital Radio, App, DTV and online at magic.co.uk.

Absolute Radio Classic Rock Radio station in London

Absolute Radio Classic Rock is a Semi-National Digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Absolute Radio Network. It’s music output is non-stop classic rock hits.

Sebaceous cyst Types of cyst

A sebaceous cyst is a term commonly used to refer to either:

Epidermoid cyst Benign cyst usually found on the skin

An epidermoid cyst or epidermal inclusion cyst is a benign cyst usually found on the skin. The cyst develops out of ectodermal tissue. Histologically, it is made of a thin layer of squamous epithelium.

Multiplex (movie theater) movie theater complex

A multiplex is a movie theater complex with multiple screens within a single complex. They are usually housed in a specially designed building. Sometimes, an existing venue undergoes a renovation where the existing auditoriums are split into smaller ones, or more auditoriums are added in an extension or expansion of the building. The largest of these complexes can sit thousands of people and are sometimes referred to as a megaplex.

Smooth London English regional radio station

Smooth London is a regional radio station owned by operated by Global as part of the Smooth radio. It broadcasts to the Greater London area from Croydon transmitting station and is recorded in studios in Leicester Square, London. It replaced 102.2 Smooth FM on 26 March 2007.

Steatocystoma multiplex

Steatocystoma multiplex, is a benign, autosomal dominant congenital condition resulting in multiple cysts on a person's body. Steatocystoma simplex is the solitary counterpart to steatocystoma multiplex.

Juvenile hyaline fibromatosis

Juvenile hyaline fibromatosis is a very rare, autosomal recessive disease due to mutations in capillary morphogenesis protein-2. It occurs from early childhood to adulthood, and presents as slow-growing, pearly white or skin-colored dermal or subcutaneous papules or nodules on the face, scalp, and back, which may be confused clinically with neurofibromatosis.

Eruptive vellus hair cysts are small lesions that occur most often in the chest wall, abdomen and extremities, often with a crusted surface. EVHC may occur randomly, or it can be inherited as an autosomal dominant trait. The condition affects males and females equally, and sporadic cases usually appear at 4–18 years of age. The cysts appear similar clinically to steatocystoma multiplex, as well as acneiform eruptions and milia. Therapeutic techniques that are safe and effective are rare, with incision and drainage being the primary form of treatment when sporadic regression does not occur. It was first described in 1977.

Absolute Radio 90s Radio station in London

Absolute Radio 90s is a Semi-National Digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Absolute Radio Network. It’s output is non-stop 1990s hits.

Steatocystoma may refer to:

Orbital angular momentum multiplexing

Orbital angular momentum (OAM) multiplexing is a physical layer method for multiplexing signals carried on electromagnetic waves using the orbital angular momentum of the electromagnetic waves to distinguish between the different orthogonal signals.

Kisstory is a National Digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer Radio as part of the Kiss Network. It is a sister station to Kiss that plays "old skool and anthems". Kisstory is also currently a radio programme airing 8 hours per week. Then on 7 May 2013 Kisstory was expanded into a full-time station in response to positive feedback from listeners and at the expense of Q Radio. At the same time KissFresh, a then brand-new station playing "non-stop new beats including Hip-Hop, R&B, EDM, House and Garage", was given its own station.
