Sudley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Prince William County, Virginia, United States. As of the 2010 census, Sudley comprises what in the 2000 census were the Sudley and West Gate CDPs. Sudley's population including West Gate was 16,203 at the 2010 census, and excluding West Gate was 7,719 at the 2000 census.

Milady de Winter, often referred to as simply Milady, is a fictional character in the novel The Three Musketeers (1844) by Alexandre Dumas, père, set in 1625 France. She is a spy for Cardinal Richelieu and is one of the dominant antagonists of the story. Her role in the first part of the book is to seduce the English Prime Minister, the Duke of Buckingham, who is also the secret lover of Queen Anne of France. Hoping to blackmail the Queen, Richelieu orders Milady to steal two diamonds from a set of matched studs given to Buckingham by the Queen, which were a gift to her from her husband, King Louis XIII. Thwarted by d'Artagnan and the other musketeers, Milady's opposition of d'Artagnan carries much of the second half of the novel.
Manassas National Battlefield Park, located north of Manassas, in Prince William County, Virginia, preserves the site of two major American Civil War battles: the First Battle of Bull Run on July 21, 1861, and the Second Battle of Bull Run which was fought between August 28 and August 30, 1862. Sudley is a historic home at Deale, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is a 1 1⁄2-story frame house with shorter perpendicular wings added. It is a grand hall-chamber house of the 1720–1730 period and retains a great deal of early finish. The house is typical of the Medieval Transitional style of architecture, and has undergone three significant renovations, one in the third quarter of the 18th century of Georgian-style, one about 1800, and finally a restoration in 1945. The house is associated with Kensey Johns, Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, chancellor of Delaware, and a delegate to the Delaware Constitutional Convention from New Castle County, Delaware; John Johns, Bishop of Virginia and President of The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia; the ancestors of Johns Hopkins, the Baltimore benefactor; and families associated generally with the county's Quaker heritage.

Maryland Route 255 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. The highway runs 4.21 miles (6.78 km) from MD 2 near Owensville east to Riverside Drive in Galesville. MD 255, which was built in the 1920s, originally included the portion of MD 468 between Galesville and Shady Side; the section in Galesville was MD 393. MD 255 and MD 468 were assigned to their present courses in the late 1940s.

Democratic politician Jesse H. Jones, who served as the 9th United States Secretary of Commerce from 1940 to 1945, grew up in the house.
