The One Giveth, the Count Taketh Away is an album by William Bootsy Collins, released by Warner Bros. Records. It would be the last album that Bootsy Collins would record for the label. It would also be the first album produced solely by Bootsy Collins, with the exception of the track "Shine-O-Myte (Rag Popping)" which was produced (as well as written) by Bootsy Collins and George Clinton. The album was released on April 28, 1982.

The album features performances from numerous individuals in the P-Funk/Rubber Band collective including Fred Wesley, Maceo Parker, Phelps Collins, and Godmoma. The album was reissued first in 1990 by the Warner/Pioneer company in Japan and then by Warner Music-Europe. In 2007, the album was licensed through Rhino Records and reissued through the Collectors Choice music service.
P-Funk refers to the repertoire, musical style, and/or group of performers associated with George Clinton. The term is variously known as an abbreviation of Parliament-Funkadelic, Psychedelic Funk, Pure Funk, or Plainfield Funk.
Fred Wesley is an American jazz and funk trombonist, best known for his work with James Brown in the 1960s and 1970s, as well as Parliament-Funkadelic in the second half of the 1970s. In 2015, Wesley was inducted into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.
Maceo Parker is an American funk and soul jazz saxophonist, best known for his work with James Brown in the 1960s, as well as Parliament-Funkadelic in the 1970s. Parker was a prominent soloist on many of Brown's hit recordings, and a key part of his band, playing alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. Since the early 1990s, he has toured under his own name.
Godmoma was a trio of female vocalists. The trio consisted of Cynthia Girty, Carolyn Myles, and Tony Walker.
Garry Marshall Shider was an American musician and guitarist. He was musical director of the P-Funk All-Stars for much of their history. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic.
Mallia Franklin was a vocalist with Parliament-Funkadelic. She introduced friends George Clinton and Bootsy Collins in 1971. She also brought Ex-Ohio Player, Junie Morrison to P-Funk in 1978.
The single version of "Take-A-Lickin' and Keep on Kickin'" is a vocal version that is not included on the album and has never been reissued on CD. The single version of "Shine-O-Myte (Rag Popping)" is an instrumental version which was also not included on the album or reissued on CD.

Play Me or Trade Me is the third and final studio album by the P-Funk spin off act Parlet. The album was released by Casablanca Records in 1980 and was produced by George Clinton and Ron Dunbar. Like many albums released by the label during this year, it would be totally ignored in terms of promotion due to the label being bought by Polygram Records. The vocal line up for this album remained the same as the previous album. Play Me or Trade Me failed to enter on the Billboard R&B album charts.
Trombipulation is a 1980 album by the funk band Parliament. It was released by Casablanca Records. It was the last album of original material produced by the group for 38 years until Medicaid Fraud Dogg in 2018. Unlike previous Parliament albums, George Clinton did not serve as sole producer of the album, as other P-Funk figures assisted in producing individual tracks. Bassist Bootsy Collins emerged as the principal musician on this album, playing virtually all of the instruments on a number of tracks. The track "Let's Play House" was sampled by the Hip-Hop group Digital Underground for their single "The Humpty Dance".

Funk or Walk is the debut album by the Brides of Funkenstein, released on Atlantic Records in September 1978. The album was produced by George Clinton with the exception of the album's first single "Disco To Go" which was written and produced by Clinton and Bootsy Collins. The Brides of Funkenstein consisted of Lynn Mabry and Dawn Silva, who were members of Sly and the Family Stone prior to joining P-Funk. Funk Or Walk earned Mabry and Silva a Record World Award for Best New Female Artists and Best New R&B Group in 1979. The song was originally performed live by Bootsy's Rubber Band. To this day, the P-Funk All Stars continue to play "Disco To Go" in their live concerts. The Brides of Funkenstein also toured and recorded with Parliament/Funkadelic around this same time.
This Boot Is Made for Fonk-N is the fourth album by the American funk band Bootsy's Rubber Band. It was released through Warner Bros. Records on June 1, 1979. Unlike previous albums by Bootsy's Rubber Band, this album did not generate any hit singles. The album was more experimental in nature than previous efforts. It would also mark the last time that the name "Bootsy's Rubber Band" would be used on a Bootsy Collins related project until the 1982 12" single release "Body Slam". This Boot Is Made For Fonk-N peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number 52 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

The album features many of the same musicians and singers from Bootsy's Rubber Band. The album was released during the same week as Ultra Wave, Collins' fifth album for Warner Bros. Records.

Godmoma consists of Cynthia Girty, Carolyn Myles, and Arnenita Walker. The album features many members of Bootsy's Rubber Band as well members of P-Funk. Godmoma never recorded a follow up album. On November 28th, 2012, Godmoma Here was reissued by Rhino/Tower Records in Japan.
"Body Slam" is a song that was recorded by Bootsy's Rubber Band, co-written by Bootsy Collins and keyboardist Joel "Razor Sharp" Johnson. It was released in 1982 by Warner Bros. Records. The song was never featured on any of Bootsy Collins' albums until the 1994 release of the compilation Back in the Day: The Best of Bootsy. The song is a reconstruction of the track "Countracula " from the album The One Giveth, the Count Taketh Away. The single reached number 12 in Billboard Magazine's Black Singles charts. The b-side of "Body Slam" was "I'd Rather Be With You".
What's Bootsy Doin'? is a 1988 album by Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins. The album was released by Columbia Records and was his first album after a six-year hiatus from the music scene. The album reunites Collins with former P-Funk players Bernie Worrell, Fred Wesley and Gary "Mudd Bone" Cooper, and also features newcomers including Mico Wave and Godmoma.
Blasters of the Universe is a 1993 2-CD set by Bootsy's New Rubber Band. The album was first released on the P-Vine record label and then by Rykodisc in the U.S. and the UK. In terms of musical personnel, the album features more P-Funk and Funk alumni than any other Bootsy Collins related release. It also contains one of the last tracks to feature original Parliament-Funkadelic guitarist Eddie Hazel, to whom the album is dedicated. The album also contains a lyric sheet and a comic book called "Back 'N' Dah Day: A Boot Tune Adventure".
Live in Louisville 1978 is a live album by Bootsy's Rubber Band. The album was originally released in the Netherlands in 1999 on the Disky Communications label. The CD features a live recording of Bootsy's Rubber Band performing at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky on March 15, 1978, during the "Player Of The Year" tour. To date "Live in Louisville 1978" has never been released outside the Netherlands.
