The Sugar Hill Historic District is a historic district in Detroit, Michigan. It contains 14 structures located along three streets: East Forest, Garfield, and East Canfield, between Woodward Avenue on the west and John R. on the east. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
The Cass Park Historic District is a historic district in Midtown Detroit, Michigan, consisting of 25 buildings along the streets of Temple, Ledyard, and 2nd, surrounding Cass Park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005 and designated a city of Detroit historic district in 2016.
The Santa Fe Apartments were an apartment building located in Detroit, Michigan. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 and subsequently demolished by Wayne State University and removed from the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. The site is now the location of the Yousif B. Ghafari Hall.
The Virginia Building, also known as the Strollway Center and Montgomery Ward Building, is a historic commercial building located at the corner of 9th and Cherry Streets in Downtown Columbia, Columbia, Missouri. It was originally built in 1911 to house one of the first urban Montgomery Ward department stores. It is a two-story building with a flat roof and gold brick walls. Today the building houses several local businesses including, the Cherry Street Artisan and Columbia Photo.
Columbia Avenue Historic District is located in the central part of the city of Davenport, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The district lies north and west of Vander Veer Park. The area is entirely residential and it contains brick apartment buildings that were built between 1930 and 1939. It is one of the city's smallest districts and it is unique among the other historic districts in that it contains primarily apartment buildings.
Linden Flats was located in downtown Davenport, Iowa, United States. It was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and included as a contributing property in the West Third Street Historic District in 1983. The building was torn down after it was destroyed in a fire in 2005.
Dering Building is a historic commercial building located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was designed by noted Morgantown architect Elmer F. Jacobs and built in 1896. It is a three-story Romanesque Revival style brick building. It has a rectangular plan, a flat roof, separate store fronts, and recessed portico entrances. It features a pediment above the flat roof with a rising sun motif and the date of construction inscribed in the center.
Preston Court Apartments is a historic apartment building in Charlottesville, Virginia, US built in 1928. It is a three-story, C-shaped, reinforced concrete building faced with brick. It has two two-story, five-bay, flat-roofed Ionic order porticos in the Classical Revival style. The building continues to be used as a rental/apartment building by the Hartman family.
John Rolfe Apartments is a historic apartment building located in Richmond, Virginia. The building was built in 1940, and is a two and three-story, ten-unit, International style brick building. The rectangular building has concrete copings at the edges of the staggered flat roofs. The building's sloped setting is park-like with a heavy buffer of trees to the south and an open lawn and trees along the north property line. The building is considered a rare and early example of International Style residential architecture in the city of Richmond and the region.
Chamberlayne Gardens is a historic apartment complex located in Richmond, Virginia. The complex was built in 1945–1946, and consists of 52 Colonial Revival style brick buildings, attached in 16 groups. They have four building plans, are two to three stories in height and contain a total of 216 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The buildings alternate in either red or buff-colored brick, and have either a gabled slate roof or a flat roof with parapet ends capped with the original tile. The complex was designed by Norfolk architect Bernard Betzig Spigel and built under the auspices of the Federal Housing Administration.
The Lodge is a historic apartment building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1905, and is a three-story, three-bay, rectangular, Georgian Revival style red brick building. It features a limestone entrance portico with Ionic order columns and three-story bay windows.
Mark Twain School, also known as the Poplar Bluff Museum, is a historic school building located at Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri. It was built in 1910, and is a two-story, "H"-plan, Classical Revival style brick building. The building consists of two, parallel, rectangular-plan, hipped roof blocks joined by an enclosed two-story flat roof corridor. It remained in use as an elementary school until 1988.
Williamson-Kennedy School is a historic school building located at Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri. It was built in 1922, and is a three-story, rectangular plan, Colonial Revival style brick building. It sits on a cast concrete foundation and has a flat roof. The two primary entrances located in one-story projecting wings at the corners of the building and features cast concrete Doric orderpilasters.
Major Hotel, also known as Colonial Hotel and Franklin House Apartments, is a historic hotel located at Liberty, Clay County, Missouri. It was designed by the architectural firm Keene & Simpson and built in 1912. It is a three-story, rectangular brick building with Colonial Revival and Prairie School style design elements. It features a low-pitched, hipped roof with wide, overhanging eaves and shed-roof dormers and one-story/ full-length verandah porch. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1934 and converted to a 21-unit apartment building in 1987.
Miller Building is a historic commercial building located at Liberty, Clay County, Missouri. It was built in 1868, and is a two-story, rectangular brick building with Late Victorian style design elements. It has a flat roof and features a decorative brick cornice, hooded window surrounds, and an intact storefront with cast-iron columns.
Frank Hughes Memorial Library is a historic library building located at Liberty, Clay County, Missouri. It was designed by the architectural firm Wight and Wight and built in 1940. It is a one-story, rectangular Classical Revival style brick building. It has a gable roof with a wide elaborate cornice. It features a flat-roofed portico feature a wide, simple wood entablature topped with a rooftop balustrade.
D.M. Oberman Manufacturing Co. Building, also known as the Oberman and Company Building, is a historic building located at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. It was built in 1917, and expanded through 1925. It is a three-story, rectangular brick building on a concrete foundation, built in the Daylight Factory style. It has a flat roof with corbelled brick cornice and flat parapet.
Ambassador Apartments is a historic apartment building located at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. It was built in 1928, and is a four-story Commercial Block apartment building with a flat roof, red brick walls and simple Tudor style stone accents. The building houses 33 studio and one bedroom apartments. Also on the property is a contributing small ceramic block garage built about 1933.
Central School Campus, also known as Central School and DeSoto High School, is a historic school complex located at De Soto, Jefferson County, Missouri. The Central School was built about 1882, and remodeled into its current form in 1950. It is a 2 1/2- to 3-story rectangular brick building. The DeSoto High School was built in 1927, and is a three-story, textured brick building with a flat roof and accented with limestone or cast stone ornament reflecting the Classical Revival style.
Pike County Hospital, also known as the Smith-Barr Manor, is a historic hospital building located at Louisiana, Pike County, Missouri. It was built in 1927–1928, and is a four-story, rectangular, Classical Revival style red brick and stone building. It has a flat roof with a two-story square red brick penthouse. It features a main entrance with decorative stone surround and cartouche, and additional terra cotta and stone ornamentation. It was converted to a nursing home in 1975.
