Society Hill is a historic neighborhood in Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a population of 6,215 as of the 2010 United States Census. Settled in the early 1680s, Society Hill is one of the oldest residential neighborhoods in Philadelphia. After urban decay developed between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, an urban renewal program began in the 1950s, restoring the area and its many historic buildings. Society Hill has since become one of the most expensive neighborhoods with the highest average income and second highest real estate values in Philadelphia. Society Hill's historic colonial architecture, along with planning and restoration efforts, led the American Planning Association to designate it, in 2008, as one of the great American neighborhoods and a good example of sustainable urban living.

Walnut Hill is a neighborhood in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located between 45th Street and 52nd Street, bounded by Market Street and Spruce Street. Most of the neighborhood is in the northwestern part of the University City District. It is located north of the neighborhoods of Garden Court and Spruce Hill.
The Riverside Historic District is a U.S. historic district located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was added to the register in 1978 and roughly bounded by Southlane Drive, Walnut, Third, and Parrett Streets. It consists of 1,010 acres (4.1 km2) and 425 buildings. It is also known as the Riverside Neighborhood.
The Newtonville Historic District is a historic district in the village of Newtonville, in Newton, Massachusetts. The district encompasses the southern portion of the village's business district, as well as surrounding residential areas. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, and enlarged in 1990.
Downtown Columbia is the central business, government, and social core of Columbia, Missouri and the Columbia Metropolitan Area. Three colleges — the University of Missouri, Stephens College, and Columbia College — all border the area. Downtown Columbia is an area of approximately one square mile surrounded by the University of Missouri on the south, Stephens College to the east, and Columbia College on the north. The area serves as Columbia's financial and business district and is the topic of a large initiative to draw tourism, which includes plans to capitalize on the area's historic architecture and Bohemian characteristics. The downtown skyline is relatively low and is dominated by the 10-story Tiger Hotel, built in 1928, and the 15-story Paquin Tower.
The Walnut Street Historic District is a national historic district located in Springfield, Missouri, United States. The district encompasses more than 150 one and two story frame, brick, cast-stone, or stone dwellings in a thirteen block area. The district includes parts of East Walnut Street, East Elm Street, East McDaniel Street, Cordova Court, South Hampton Avenue, South Florence Avenue, and South National Avenue. The district developed between about 1870 and 1940, with 21 buildings surviving from before 1900, and 59 buildings dating between 1901 and 1910.

Notable contributing buildings include the Sawyer–Pailin–Overman House, Antioch Presbyterian Church, (former) St. Catherine Catholic Church (1941), Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church (1904), Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church (1888), (former) St. Phillips Episcopal Church (1893), the Sundry Shop, Rex Cleaning Works (1932), Good Samaritan Hall (1896), and Republican Star Odd Fellows Hall.

It is the site of the first permanent European settlement on the Missouri River and of the embarkation of Lewis and Clark's journey of exploration along the Missouri. The first state capital of Missouri and over one hundred other historic buildings are located in the district.

North Wayne Historic District is a national historic district located at Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The district includes 190 contributing buildings in a residential area of Wayne. The contributing dwellings were built between 1881 and 1925, and include notable examples of Shingle Style and Colonial Revival architecture. The district also reflects suburban development in the late-19th century as it was a major component of a large, planned, railroad commuter suburb called "Wayne Estate." It is located north of the South Wayne Historic District.

The district encompasses seven contributing buildings in a commercial section of Springfield. The district developed between about 1895 and 1949, and includes representative examples of Italianate and Colonial Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Landers Theater. Other notable buildings include the Masonic Temple (1906).
West Walnut Street Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located in Springfield, Missouri, United States. The district encompasses 14 contributing buildings in a commercial section of Springfield. The district developed between about 1888 and 1951, and includes representative examples of Italianate commercial architecture. Notable buildings include the Diffenderffer Building (1906), the Koenigsbruk and Boehmer Building, and the Grand Hotel / Springfield Seed Co. Building.
Building at 217 West Main Street, also known as the Open Door Service Center Building, is a historic commercial building located at Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri, US. It was built in 1874, and is a two-story, "L"-shaped, Italianate style brick building. A wing was added in 1906. It features a decorative metal cornice and three round arched windows. The building is known to have housed a brothel in the late-19th and early-20th centuries.
The Walnut Street Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Waterloo, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 2019. At the time of its nomination the district consisted of 111 resources, including 91 contributing buildings and 20 non-contributing buildings. The district is largely a residential area located between the central business district and the former location of the Illinois Central Railroad round house and shops. The neighborhood was originally platted as the Railroad Addition in 1860 and as the Cooley Addition in 1865. Buildings date from c. 1880 to 1981. Single-family houses are largely wood-frame construction with a few brick. Architectural styles include Queen Anne, Italianate, Shingle, Bungalow, variations on the American Foursquare, and those in a vernacular mode. Multi-family dwellings include double houses, identical houses, and apartment buildings. There are also a few commercial buildings on East Fourth Street and two churches. Walnut Street Baptist Church (1908) is individually listed on the NRHP. Two local architects, Mortimer Cleveland and Clinton Shockley have buildings in the district.
