    • The San Sebastian Stags appoints CEU Scorpions coach Egay Macaraya as their new head coach in preparation for NCAA Season 92 basketball tournament. [15]
    • UST Growling Tigers coach Bong dela Cruz denies the involvement on game-fixing and physical abuse incidents against his players during his tenure as head coach. [16]
  • June 25 – San Beda College officially retires the No. 14 jersey of the late, Carlos Loyzaga, who led the Red Lions to multiple NCAA championships in the 1950s and was the cornerstone of the national team in the 1950s and the 1960s. [17]
  • October 11 – The San Beda Red Lions prevailed in a classic shootout in the fourth quarter to stave off the gritty Arellano Chiefs, 83–73, and become the NCAA Season 92 men's basketball champions at the Mall of Asia Arena. [18]
  • December 7 – The DLSU Green Archers capped a dominant campaign with a 79–72 victory over the Ateneo Blue Eagles to win the UAAP Season 79 men's basketball championship at Araneta Coliseum. [19]

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), established in 1938, is an athletic association of eight Metro Manila universities in the Philippines. The eight-member schools are Adamson University, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), National University (NU), University of the East (UE), University of the Philippines Diliman (UP), and the University of Santo Tomas (UST).

The De La Salle Green Archers are the men's varsity teams representing De La Salle University in the Philippines. The women's varsity teams are generally referred to as the De La Salle Lady Archers. The school's varsity teams participate in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, among others. La Salle is represented in the high school level by De La Salle Zobel, and are known as the Zobel Junior Archers.

John Christopher Antonio "JC" Intal is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He played for four teams during his career in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is married to television host and model Bianca Gonzalez.

Michael Christopher "Topex" Robinson is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the De La Salle Green Archers of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). He previously coached the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 44th overall by the Tanduay Rhum Masters.

The Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup is a pre-season collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It is organized by Filoil EcoOil Sports. It gathers teams mainly from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), but also include some invited teams such as the RP Youth under-18 team and teams from other leagues, in a basketball tournament just before the start of the collegiate season.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">SM Mall of Asia Arena</span> Indoor arena in Bay City, Philippines

The SM Mall of Asia Arena, also known as the Mall of Asia Arena or the MoA Arena, is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. It has a seating capacity of 15,000 for sporting events, and a full house capacity of 20,000. The Arena officially opened on May 21, 2012. It has retractable seats and a 2,000-capacity car park building. The Arena has a total area of 64,000 m2 (690,000 sq ft).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kiefer Ravena</span> Filipino basketball player (born 1993)

Kiefer Isaac Crisologo Ravena is a Filipino professional basketball player for Shiga Lakes of the B2 League. Ravena played for the Ateneo Blue Eagles of the UAAP during his college days. He plays the point guard position.

Kevin Manuel Ferrer is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Terrafirma Dyip of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Alyssa Valdez</span> Filipino volleyball player

Alyssa Caymo Valdez is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was a member of the collegiate varsity women's volleyball team of Ateneo de Manila University in both indoor and beach volleyball. She was most outstanding as an indoor volleyball player where she brought multiple championship titles and a lot of honor for the university. She is a current member of Philippines national team. Her global recognition paved the way for her to play in other countries like Thailand for 3BB Nakornnont and Taiwan for Attack Line Volleyball Club.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jeron Teng</span> Filipino basketball player

Jeron Alvin Uy Teng is a Filipino professional basketball player for the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). As a PBA player, he usually starts at the swingman position but occasionally plays as a power forward during the Philippine Cup. A renowned prodigy, he holds multiple high school records for the Xavier Golden Stallions. After his famous high school career, he played for the De La Salle Green Archers in the UAAP with equally great success. He won a couple UAAP championships as the team captain and has the rare distinction of simultaneously winning two UAAP finals MVP awards.

Ricci Paolo Uy Rivero is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
