World Athletics U20 Championships Biennial championships by World Athletics

The World Athletics U20 Championships is a biennial world championships for the sport of athletics organised by the World Athletics, contested by athletes in the under-20 athletics age category (19 years old or younger on 31 December in the year of the competition.

The 10,000 metres race walk is a racewalking event. The event is competed as a track race. Athletes must always keep in contact with the ground and the supporting leg must remain straight until the raised leg passes it. 10,000 meters is 6.21 miles.

Meryem Bekmez is a Turkish female race walker specialising in the 5000 metres and 10,000 metres. She is a native of Diyarbakır, Turkey. She was a member of the municipality-owned club of Kayapınar, before she was transferred by Enka SK in Istanbul.

The men's 10,000 metres walk at the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships was held at Ratina Stadium on 14 July.

Katie Hayward is an Australian racewalker. She represented Australia at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar and also the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. At the 2020 Olympics she came 37th in the Women's 20km walk final with a time of 1:38.11, just on 9 minutes behind the eventual winner Antonella Palmisano.

Noelia Vargas Mena is a Costa Rican racewalker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. In 2019, she competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar. She finished in 36th place with a time of 1:46:30.

Ma Zhenxia Chinese racewalker

Ma Zhenxia is a Chinese racewalker. In 2014, she won the gold medal in the girls' 5 kilometre walk at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics held in Nanjing, China.
