European Athletics U23 Championships

The European Athletics U23 Championships is a biennial athletics competition for European athletes under the age of 23, which is organized by the European Athletic Association. These are the official results of the Men's triple jump event at the 1994 European Championships in Helsinki, Finland. There were a total number of 20 participating athletes, with two qualifying groups and the final held on 13 August 1994. The top twelve and ties, and all those reaching 16.80 metres advanced to the final. The qualification round was held in Thursday August 11, 1994.

The final of the Women's Triple Jump event at the 1994 European Championships in Helsinki, Finland was held on Thursday August 20, 1994. There were a total number of 26 participating athletes including one non-starter, with two qualifying groups. The top twelve and ties, and all those reaching 14.20 metres advanced to the final. The qualification round was held in Wednesday August 19, 1994. The event was included for the first time at the European Athletics Championships.

Portugal at the 2014 European Athletics Championships Sporting event delegation

Portugal competed at the 2014 European Athletics Championships, held in Zürich, Switzerland, from 12 to 17 August 2014. The national delegation consisted of 44 competitors – its largest ever at the European Athletics Championships – who took part in 27 events. Marathon runner Jéssica Augusto finished third in the women's event to secure Portugal's only medal.

Yulimar Rojas Venezuelan athlete

Yulimar Rojas Rodríguez is a Venezuelan athlete who holds the world record for women's triple jump. She is the current Olympic champion, a two-time World Champion, and two-time World Indoor Champion. Raised in a deprived area of Venezuela, she was successful in other sports as a teenager but could not continue to practice due to lack of facilities. She moved to Guadalajara, Spain, in 2015 to continue her athletics training. She is a recipient of the Venezuelan Order of José Félix Ribas – First Class.

Hugues Fabrice Zango Burkinabé athlete

Hugues Fabrice Zango is a Burkinabé athlete who specialises in the triple jump and the long jump. Pending ratification, he is the world indoor record holder in the triple jump with a jump of 18.07 m set in 2021. Zango competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan in the triple jump event, the first ever Olympic medal for Burkina Faso. He has also competed in World Championships, two African athletics championships, a Jeux de la Francophonie, two Summer Universiades and two African Games. He became the first-ever medalist for Burkina Faso with a bronze medal and African record at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha.
