The 2023 Malaysia Super League is the 20th season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia for association football clubs since its establishment in 2004, and the 42nd season of top-flight Malaysia football overall.
The 2023 season is Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club's 50th season in club history and 9th season in the Malaysia Super League after rebranding their name from Johor FC.
The 2022 season was Terengganu's 64th season. It is the club's 16th consecutive season in the top flight of Malaysian football, having been promoted from the Malaysia Premier League at the end of the 2005–06 season. The club also participated in the Malaysia FA Cup and Malaysia Cup.
