The 2023 Isle of Man TT was held between Monday 29 May and Saturday 10 June, on the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course.

The event was marked by the high profile absences of possible podium contenders Lee Johnston [1] and Nathan Harrison [2] due to injury, multiple TT winner Ian Hutchinson [3] due to a stroke, Gary Johnson, the 2 time winner crashed badly in Horice Czech Republic meaning he was sidelined for the 2023 season and fastest ever newcomer Glenn Irwin [4] for personal reasons.

This year saw the outright lap record broken again by Peter Hickman achieving 136.358 mph (219.447 km/h) on Friday 9th June during the second RL360 Superstock race aboard the Monster Energy by FHO Racing BMW M1000RR.

Michael Dunlop saw success during the event by earning 4 victories (Superbike, Supersport 1, Supersport 2, Lightweight 1) putting him at 25 total, one below his uncle Joey Dunlop. He also set a new supersport record of 130.403 mph (209.863 km/h), Peter Hickman also manage to break the 130 mph (210 km/h) average on a supersport with 130.219 mph (209.567 km/h).

The Birchall brothers, Ben and Tom, saw continued success by winning both Sidecar races taking their tally to 14 and 11 in a row. They also set a new lap record of 120.645 mph (194.159 km/h) during the second Sidecar race.

The event saw the unfortunate passing of one competitor on the final lap of the first Supertwin TT, Spanish rider Raul Torras Martinez. [5]

The 2005 Isle of Man TT Festival was the 98th run and took place between Saturday 28 May and Friday 10 June on the 37.73 mile (60.72 km) Mountain course. The first week is known as the practice week, before the real action was due to commence on 4 June. Bad weather meant that the Superbike race was held over until Sunday. There were only 7 races in this year because this was the first year the smaller 250 bikes & Production models did not race at the TT, instead they were replaced with Superbike, Supersport & Superstock races.

Bruce Anstey is a professional motorcycle road racer. He is a former lap record holder on the world-famous Snaefell Mountain Course with a time of 17 minutes 6.682 seconds, at an average speed of 132.298 mph (212.913 km/h) set during the 2014 Superbike TT Race. Anstey was signed to race for the Padgett's Honda Racing Team having previously ridden for TAS Suzuki Racing, Valmoto Triumph and DTR Yamaha. The 2009 TT races again include a second 600 cc Supersport Junior TT race and the Lightweight TT and Ultra-Lightweight TT races held on the 4.25-mile (6.84 km) Billown Circuit in the Isle of Man. A new event for the 2009 Isle of Man TT races was the one-lap TTXGP for racing motorcycles "to be powered without the use of carbon based fuels and have zero toxic/noxious emissions."
