The 2024 City of Lincoln Council election was held on Thursday 2 May 2024 to elect 11 of the 33 members of City of Lincoln Council, being the usual third of the council. It took place on the same day as other local elections in the United Kingdom. [1]
The council remained under Labour majority control at this election, with the party increasing their majority. [2] The leader of the council prior to the election, Ric Metcalfe, did not stand for re-election. After the election Labour chose Naomi Tweddle to be their new group leader. She was formally appointed as leader of the council at the subsequent annual council meeting on 14 May 2024. [3]

Lincolnshire, abbreviated Lincs, is a ceremonial county in the East Midlands and Yorkshire and the Humber regions of England. It is bordered by the East Riding of Yorkshire across the Humber estuary to the north, the North Sea to the east, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland to the south, and Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire to the west. The county town is the city of Lincoln. Lincolnshire is the second largest ceremonial county in England, after North Yorkshire.
Liverpool City Council is the local authority for the city of Liverpool in Merseyside, England. Liverpool has had a local authority since 1207, which has been reformed on numerous occasions. Since 1974 the council has been a metropolitan borough council. It provides the majority of local government services in the city. The council has been a member of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority since 2014.
North Kesteven is a local government district in Lincolnshire, England. The council is based in Sleaford. The district also contains the town of North Hykeham, which adjoins the neighbouring city of Lincoln, along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas.

It has been represented since 2016 by Dr Caroline Johnson, who is a member of the Conservative Party. The seat was created in 1997 and has always been represented by Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Conservative Party; like all British constituencies, it elects one candidate by the first-past-the-post voting system. Johnson became the MP for the constituency after a by-election in December 2016, following the resignation of the previous MP for the seat, Stephen Phillips. The constituency is considered a safe seat for the Conservatives.

The 2021 Tees Valley mayoral election was held on 6 May 2021 to elect the Tees Valley Mayor on the same day as other local elections across the country. The mayor was elected by the supplementary vote. The election was originally due to take place in May 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Karen Elizabeth Lee is a British Labour Party politician. She was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lincoln between the 2017 general election and the 2019 general election. She defeated the sitting Conservative MP, Karl McCartney by 1,538 votes in the 2017 general election but lost to him in 2019.
Robert Bernard Parker (1947–2023) was a British local politician. He was leader of Lincolnshire County Council between 1993 and 1997, and was leader of the Labour group on the Council twice.
The 2023 City of Lincoln Council election took place on 4 May 2023 to elect members of City of Lincoln Council in Lincolnshire, England. It was held on the same day as other local elections across England. This election did not result in a change of control of the council as Labour retained a majority, but did result in a doubling of the size of the Liberal Democrat council group at the expense of two Labour councillors.
The 2024 North East Lincolnshire Council election was held on Thursday 2 May 2024, alongside the other local elections in the United Kingdom on the same day. 12 of the 42 members of North East Lincolnshire Council in Lincolnshire were elected.
