The 2025 Philadelphia District Attorney election will be held on November 4, 2025, to elect the district attorney of Philadelphia, with primary elections held on May 20, 2025. Incumbent Larry Krasner easily won the Democratic nomination and is seeking a third term after first being elected in 2018. His primary challenger, Pat Dugan, won the Republican primary as a write-in candidate and will appear on the general election ballot as a Republican.

Republican primary

Despite Republicans being encouraged to write-in eliminated Democratic candidate Patrick Dugan, his campaign stated that he would decline the nomination if he received the most votes. [13] However, after receiving over 6,000 write-in votes, Dugan announced in August that he would accept the Republican nomination. [14]
