The 2025 Wisconsin Superintendent of Public Instruction will be held on April 1, 2025, to elect the Superintendent of Public Instruction of Wisconsin. The primary election will be held on February 18, 2025, if more than two candidates file to run. [1] One-term incumbent Jill Underly is running for re-election.

Incumbent Republican governor Scott Walker sought re-election to a third term, and was challenged by Democratic candidate and then-Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers, as well as Libertarian Phil Anderson and independent Maggie Turnbull. Evers, along with his running mate Mandela Barnes, managed to defeat Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch in a closely fought and widely watched race, ending the state's Republican trifecta.

She was appointed to the seat by Governor Tony Evers, the previous Superintendent of Public Instruction, to fill the remainder of his term after he was elected Governor of Wisconsin in 2018.
