The 2025 Wisconsin Superintendent of Public Instruction will be held on April 1, 2025, to elect the Superintendent of Public Instruction of Wisconsin. The primary election will be held on February 18, 2025, as more than two candidates have filed to run. [1] One-term incumbent Jill Underly is running for re-election.
While Wisconsin Superintendent of Public Instruction elections are nonpartisan, media outlets have identified Jill Underly and Jeff Wright as Democratic-aligned candidates. [2] Brittany Kinser has both described herself as a moderate Democrat and refused to claim a party affiliation. [3]

Dale W. Schultz is an American real estate broker and Republican politician from Richland Center, Wisconsin. He was the majority leader of the Wisconsin Senate during the 2005–2006 term, and served over 23 years in the state Senate, representing Wisconsin's 17th Senate district from 1991 to 2015. Before being elected to the Senate, he served nearly 9 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly, from 1983 through 1991.
Kelda Helen Roys is an American tech entrepreneur, business owner, attorney, and Democratic politician from Madison, Wisconsin. She is a member of the Wisconsin Senate, representing the 26th Senate district since 2021. She previously served two terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, from 2009 to 2013. She was an unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012, and for governor of Wisconsin in 2018.

Incumbent Superintendent of Public Instruction Carolyn Stanford Taylor did not seek election to a full term. She was appointed to the seat by Governor Tony Evers, the previous Superintendent of Public Instruction, to fill the remainder of his term after he was elected Governor of Wisconsin in 2018.
