The first round of the 2025 Jersey City mayoral election was held on November 4, 2025. Incumbent Democratic Mayor Steven Fulop was eligible to seek re-election to a fourth four-year term, but announced he would instead run for governor. [1] A runoff will be held Tuesday, December 2, between the top two candidates, as none achieved a majority of the vote.
